Yeah, I didn't really want to, but they always throw it in there, and it helps to address the ridiculous SHV claim. As in, would you rather a child be exposed to SHS or SHV?

I also don't necessarily think that dispelling the myths of smoking harm is a fruitful endeavor, even if it would be the "right" thing to do.

I agree with that last bit, as I personally know a rabid anti-smoker who is NEVER going to change his tune, NO MATTER what might come out about the SHS fraud. And I'm quite sure that he's just as rabid about vapor. Fortunately for me, I never talk to him (my ex) anymore -- when he gave me that "you're still addicted to nicotine" crap in response to my joyful news of having quit smoking, I finally severed all contact with the idiot, and that was well overdue.

A fixed opinion is the hardest thing to argue with -- especially when the opinion has no basis in fact.

I'll be blunt with this: I see little difference between holding up a child to defend an empty argument and holding up a child in combat in order to not be killed.
Without a shred of compelling evidence to back their claims of harm, they're using children as a shield to protect their particular world view.

I honestly don't know how to even address that level of thinking because it's completely foreign to me, but I'm open to suggestions.

I really can't wait until the truth comes out ... vaping truly is the miracle it appears to be.

Doctors will have to chime in soon, on the results they are finding in smokers who have converted to vaping.

We expose it and ....ch about it and that's a very good thing. Making people aware. Passionate folks riled up can get things done.
I'd like to hear some hard ideas about how to confront a politician or bureaucrat who's using 'a child' to defend himself/herself in this situation.
I can speak for an hour on the relative benefits of vaping and the reasons for the various fights against it, but I can't come up with a 3 second soundbite to fit the news programs that will counter the 'other guy' holding up the child.

Somebody from the local TV or radio station puts a mic in your face and you have three seconds. What do you say?

I don't stop kids from drinking a cola nor is there laws that say you have to be any age at all to purchase one
