Hi.....I'm a pretty new and a heavy vaper...(analog free for 57 days), but vaping since February. My PV is the Riva 510 on which I drip and use standard resistance 510 attys. I've purchased 5 Riva batteries so far....one of which died and my newest battery lost today. :( My attys and 3 remaining 750 mAH batteries are getting old. I think the batteries are getting old because the charges don't last as long and require longer to charge. Also, the power on them seems to decrease before they discharge. My attys are hanging in there, but they're used lots too. I have been happy with my Riva, but the performance is decreasing.

My question is...should I purchase more of the same batteries and attys or do you think it's time I upgraded? If I upgrade...what is out there for my next step? I always have two Rivas going at the same time, but with different juices. I have just mastered my Riva, so I don't understand a lot of what's out there. Can anyone help me.

Heavily used L-ion batteries are considered have about a 3 month lifetime, so its is very possible you have simply worn them out, and what you describe sounds like that. Generally 200-300 recharges is about the limit before performance starts to drop a lot, and while you have not been using yours long enough to probably reach this number of recharges, not all batts, even of the same make, are exactly alike, and yours might just be a bit defective. Definitely happens. How fast the recharge is also affects this. Fast recharge is obviously convenient, but shortens the battery's overall lifetime. The riva is a great PV and popular for good reason, so if you like it, just get more. I like the eGo-USB batts, since they can "trickle" charge on a USB, which is easier on the batt material.
