Now another question that I just cant wrap my head around. Anyone can probably answer this.
I run across a lot of recipes where the poster will say
xxx 40%
xyz 30%
xxyz 30%

add to 30 mil base, 20% flavor

is there a simple way to convert this info to total percentages like we are used to using in the calculator?

Edit -> Adjust total flavor percentage

I went to input a recipe yesterday called for one drop AP per 5 ml. I hunted the web and several flavor suppliers and couldn't find AP. Yes, I'm a newbie. Can someone help please.

AP is short for Acetyl Pyrazine 5% PG flavoring by The Flavor Apprentice.

convert the percentage to decimals:

40% of 20% = .40 X 20% = 8% of xxx
30% of 20% = .30 X 20% = 6% of xyz
30% of 20% = .30 X 20% = 6% of xxyz

8% + 6% + 6% = 20% total flavoring.

Easy peasy!

This may have been asked before so my bad if it has apologies in advance.
Is there a youtube video on using this calculator? I learn to use things like this easier watching a video. Or maybe its just cause I am tired that my mind isn't working correctly lol

I was going to have a play with it mixing different pg/vg bases with mic and a couple of different flavours. Will have another go tomorrow when less tired.

Just ordered my first DIY supplies last night. I went ahead and put everything in inventory just so I could get used to using the program.
I got a little confused on a few things, but I think I figured them out.
Did a few test runs just to make sure that I understand the workings of the program.
Seems to works real nice.

Now all I have to do is wait for my supplies and scale to get here.

Thanks Hot rod for the program, I think it's going to help me a lot.

Finally reached the end of reading all 56 pages of this thread. I'm waiting on my scale and other diy supplies.

Is anybody having a problem installing on Windows 8?
It get to the install process and tells me to contact the vendor to see if this is a valid windows aprogram.

That is a "feature" of windows. It is supposed to help prevent you from installing "bad" programs. You should be able to override and install it anyway.

I'm not finding a way to over ride Microsoft. Maybe in an older version of Windows but I'm at a lose on this one.

I have no problem downloading. It's after the actual install starts up. It gets a few green bars of progress and then sends up a red box.
The only option I have at that point is clicking ok. This closes the red box but also closes the installer. No other options seem apparent at that point.

Hmm. Sorry I can't help you more on this. I don't use Win8 at all yet. May have to see what Rod has to say. I believe he is running 8, so it should work. There may be a permissions setting you need to change.
