I'm very new to e-cigs and just started researching last night. I'm looking to make my first purchase very soon. I first started looking into GreenSmoke, but after stumbling onto these forums GS is no longer an option for me. I really like the deals and rave customer service reviews from V4L and I am probably going to be purchasing from them soon. However I just had one quick question for all of you first (and someone else asked the same thing above, but I don't believe there has been an answer yet):

What is the difference between the Vapor King from Vapor 4 Life and the Vapor King 510 from electroniccigarettesinc.com?

I'm getting confused as to which one you all are taking about because they have the same name...

Thanks for all of your help...you guys rock! I can hardly wait to place my order!!

I almost bought the Greensmoke and i'm glad that I didn't based on what I heard. Their marketing campain is what really turned me off to them. Lots of times when a product is marketed the way theirs is it means it's not that great. And to top it off the starter kits are expensive. They produce alot of vapor, as you can see in all of the various videos that are out there but my 808d-1 does pretty good also, it provides a very realistic smoking sensation. I smoked Marlboro's for 15 years and my 808 is doing a good job of taking their place. I still like to bum a real one every now and then but that's ok, 3 real cigs a week is alot better than 150!

Please don't hesitate to try the Vapor4Life Vapor King! I haven't tried any others cause I did my research here first and went with them from the start. I am HAPPY! I smoked for 30 yrs and was up to 2.5 packs a day. I cut down dramatically immediately with my VK and went no smoke after 16 days. I am now smoke free for 5 wks and loving my new vape. I don't know about the others but this one WORKS! If you haven't done it already, go to the supplier forum and stop in to vapor4life and see what the "family" there thinks about it and about our supplier. We don't get anything for recommending this product except the satisfaction of helping someone else to get off the evil cancer sticks. Just here to help. Good luck to you no matter what you choose.

I just purchased the VAPOR KING-ULTIMATE ULTIMATUM MANUAL KIT from vapor4life.com.........I can't wait to try it out and I will update and let everyone know how much I like it when I get it in. I will be leaving for vacation on January 1st, so I am hoping to get it in before then (I live about an hour and a half outside of Chicago where the company is based, so hopefully it doesn't take too long) and take it with me, rather than having to smoke analogs all vacation. So excited!! :)

What's the difference between the "Automatic" and "Manual" Vapor King Kits? Also, which one is supposedly better, in your opinion?

Manual batteries have a button you have to push before taking a puff.

Automatic have no button you just take a puff like you would a normal cigarette.

For the most authentic smoking feel the automatic are slightly better, for obvious reasons.

The manuals, in most cases, give a better hit and using the button isn't as hard to get used to as you may initially think.

However, if you're usually busy using your hands for work or whatever and want the ease of being able to hold it in your mouth and puff on it while doing stuff then the automatic is better.

In the end... best to get one of each battery and see which works best for you ;)

Thanks for the response. It's highly appreciated. I think I might end up trying one of each like you said. Then I can make up my mind for myself. Again, thanks.

What is the difference between the Vapor King from Vapor 4 Life and the Vapor King 510 from electroniccigarettesinc.com?
The Vapor King from Vapor4Life is the best-known brand name of the KR808D-1 - a two-piece "cartomizer" model like Green Smoke (but incompatible with it). The KR808D-1 (or simply Kr8) is the simplest type of e-cigarette: you just screw the disposable cartomizer onto the battery and vape, no fiddling with e-liquid required. It is an obvious and very good choice for a first-time vaper. More and more suppliers are carrying it, including NHaler and CigEasy.

The "VaporKing" from electroniccigarettesinc.com is a grossly overpriced rip off of Vapor4Life's brand name, applied to a totally different kind of e-cig: a three-piece model, specifically the 510, the most popular among ECF members today. Another very good choice for a first-time vaper. Most suppliers carry it; one of the least expensive is Cignot ($35). Rocky Mountain Vapor and NHaler are two other lower-price suppliers.

For more information about the 510, see the 510 Guide reference in my signature. [NOTE: It was commissioned by and promotes NHaler, but all the facts about the model, and how to use it, apply to all Joye 510s.] For more on the Kr8 - and all e-cigarettes - see the other link in my signature: the WWV Illustrated Guide, especially Part 4.

And welcome to vaping!

Hi guys, I'm new to this. I just bought a GS and I would like to know if the battery life is as poor for the VG. Also after just a few hits the cartridge from the GS heats up like hell. I'm actually very disappointed about this e-cig. So the basic idea is : Is it really that small of a difference from a real cigarette to a VG? Because the GS is bull.... (except for the fact that for 5 min after charging gives you a lot of vapor, than you need another 3 hours to charge it to get the same effect).

Thank you.

Hi Scorpio,
You will find if you do some reading here that the GS is not held in very high regards here....For one they make claims on there site, that are questionable at best.....Like for instance, in a video they say it taste "Just like the real thing" Which is just not true....there is a difference, although most people (once they adjust, for a week or so), say they like the ECigs taste better, and most like the flavored carts better then the tobacco ones!
That being said, you are right the GS is Bull....I bought one for my GF for Xmas and the GS's have a very funny taste/aftertaste that really almost ruined the "Vaping" experiance for her....that combined with poor battery life prompted me to do some more research, and thankfully I found the Vapor King and in particular the vendor "Vapor4Life"....I ended up ordering a VK from them and sending back the GS and all I can say is WOW what a difference....You get twice the amount of product for half the price as the GS, and the selection of Cartimizer Flavors at V4L is outstanding, as is the actual flavor of the vapor! My GF smokes/smoked Menthol all her life, and although she never planned on quiting smoking, she is down to only a couple of "Analogs" a day, and that is only because she is finishing up a carton of smokes she bought before Xmas...I dont believe she will buy anymore! And this is due to the fact that she actually likes the taste of the VK ECigs better...she was agrivated about something yesterday and smoked 2 analogs back to back and almost got sick from them...lol! Now I have to tell you....if it is a BIG plume of smoke or vapor you are looking for, the VK does not put out as much as the GS but you really wont mis it because you get a great throut hit and the actual flavor is great! I think the same reason the GS puts out so much vapor, is the reason it taste so strange....the vapor is produced by atomizing the PG and I think the GS carts have more PG in them then they have the "Flavor", so you are tasting the PG...IMO! Anyway get the VK I dont think you will be dissapointed, but remember it is going to be a little different then the "Real Thing" and those that claim otherwise are lying to you!
Also I did send my GS back and although they did not seem happy about it, they are supposed to refund my money minus the carts I bought, Trust me it will be all over those forums if they dont...lol! When they asked for a reason I was unhappy, I told them the truth, (Although they have a no questions asked 30 day money back guarentee) I told them the taste was aweful and the baterry life was not as advertised, I also told them I bought a different brand that tasted great!

Good luck, I would not give up on the ECig until you have tried another brand!

You have a 30 day money back guarantee with GS, so give it a try and return it if you don't like it. I also found GS before I found this forum....I like the vapor amount, but I agree that the flavors are week and some border on nasty. The battery life is pretty horrible. If I am out drinking and vaping 'non-stop', they literally last about an hour....Also, I have only had my GS for three months and have had FOUR batteries go out on me! The GS customer service is really good, though, and they have sent out four replacements. The last two replacements they shipped before they received my returned defective ones. And they felt so bad for all of the problems that they sent a free pack of carts with the last one. So, while the initial cost is way high, they do guarantee all of the batteries for a full year - so I guess I will just keep returning them until my year is up! I have not yet found a different type of 2-piece product supplier who will guarantee batts for a full year...so maybe that is why their initial costs are so high.

e-cig sells E9 batteries that are just like GS and compatible, but the two I bought crapped out after less than four weeks. I am still waiting for my replacement batteries from them - not the best customer service. Talk about a slow boat from China! Their carts and passthrough's are really good, though. Their carts are even better than the GS carts and have better flavors, and way cheaper. I don't work for anyone - just sharing info. ; )

Like many I started with the GS prior to finding this forum and regretted it shortly thereafter. Battery life is terrible, the cut-off is irritating and the flavors are so-so.

I ended up switching over to a 510 for several weeks; the advantages being that I could have different flavors, would be able to top off the carts on the fly, and could cheaply but a pack of batteries (with a manual activation button for long drags) that could be rotated. The battery life is still not good but, as I said, I could keep a bunch rolling along and swap them out quickly - lasted all day.

Well, that got a little old and I was reading many good thing about the larger battery mod devices, such as the GG and Silver Bullet. So, I ordered a Silver Bullet.

Received it yesterday, charged the two batteries that I ordered with it and started vaping on it last night at around 8PM. Its now just over 24 hours later and I am still on that first battery. FYI - I was a chain smoker for over twenty years, 2+ packs per day, and I have not let up with the switch to vaping.

The other advantage of the larger mods is that all of the 510 carts and atomizers that I bought are completely compatible with the Silver Bullet. Also there are adapters for other models, like the KR808 cartomizers.

All in all, I am now in Vaping heaven.

The next step is the Juice box which eliminates the carts altogether in favor of an integrated bottle fed directly into the atomizer. Its a 1-2 month wait since it is popular and hand built but it should be well worth it!

Cheers!

i have been looking these e-cigs lately and personally am looking into the gs. I lean this way b/c the vapor output, as i actually love to smoke. I have tried all the pills, patchs, shots etc. I seen the usb gs and read about the vapor output and i want to order it. Except i want to be portable with me. Is there a usb battery pack i can plug it into ranter than deal with the battery's in the starter kit. Or maybe even can use with other models. If i can do this i don't mind the wire or carrying the portable battery if there is one about the size of a phone. I'm open to all ideas, I've smoked for 10 years, i am a new father and desperate.

Not sure what voltage the greensmoke usb passthrough is, but if its like Vapor King (KR8) then any portable usb battery that can output 5v should work fine.

I first ordered from greensmoke, but was very unsatisfied with it as it had a bad taste, short battery life, and limited flavor selection...not to mention that its cost was over double that of other e-cigs.

I'd suggest the Vapor King from Vapor4life personally and use VG cartomizers or juice if you want more vapor production. That's just my preference though since I did alot more research after finding greensmoke to be dissappointing.
