I got a LT, so I could use it as a comparison item for my reviews. It is so big and ugly! It uses an unprotected battery, has only a tiny little hole in the bottom, and is fugly! I feel so dirty! It does tell me my battery voltage, if I click the button 7 times. Ya know, because 5 was too little... and 3 would be ridiculously too easy!

On a good note, it makes my Infinity Pro look so tiny! The 18650 battery isn't even lasting very long!

Mike, you should definitely steal this design!

The mind boggles at the possibilities. Nudge up the power on the laser engraver so it can be a cut t er, then engrave 3 sets of "Beyotch" around the tube :)

This!

I love you Mike, but I hate that your PVs have to be defaced like this! I said it on the FB discussion and I'll say it here...I know you gotta do it, but I'm ...... about it!

Redundacy in design is important....what is a shame is to have to adhere to a specific policy of a particular forum as to whether a device is "safe" or less safe. Obviously, the final determination is reliant upon the end user regardless of "recommendations" of a particular opinion....calling a spade a spade, that is what it is.

Now I am in now way slamming the fact finding or research nor the evidence which our admins have set forth. I will suggest though that there isn't any "qualified" standard as to what device provides safety or not. The pv market is still in an evolutionary state and until that time, Notcigs continues to strive for excellence, adhering to all "perceived" ideas of what is considered safe.

It will be nice once, for all, to have true standardization rather than conjecture, no matter how "strongly" one believes their opinion counts. I've always said, Truth is not a matter of opinion. I don't mean to ruffle feathers but rather put this into proper prospective. It is always important to build products with redundant safety features....the other side of the coin is that we can never eliminate the the error of end users.

We just want our market share back really ! It was STOLEN from us in this .... storm by posts about failures we do NOT know about because they were swept under the rug , the other thing is ,what is required to stop the thrust from outgassing is a total unknown so this is a guess at best.

They are being over cautious IMO , but I HAVE to respond we have lost 85% or more in sales sense they made the post on the front page saying ALL series battery mods are unsafe. And I am sure my single battery competitors have increased sales a good deal as well. I have been in business a long time and have never had any thing like this happen from a company that I pay $$ to , total knee jerk reaction ????

I we recover I will be surprised.

I dont think it would spring because aluminum isn't pliable.
All he would have to do it leave little pieces in it like this.

That would make me feel much better about it. I have to say though that While I am comfortable with the current design as is. I have to agree with a previous poster about all the extra open area on the device to let gunk in. I work in construction. Dirt is my constant companion, but I don't stick my DeWalt in my mouth.... very often:blink:

I completely agree Mike...and there is no question that sales have declined as a result of the "posted findings". Your products provide safety features that are non-existent in other devices, yet are touted as slice bread. Going beyond all that.....just keep doing what you are doing. We, even if a small percentage, understand and "get it". We will continue to support Notcig's efforts and correct uninformed information as we can. Fight the good fight. Integrity always trumps deception.

Think about the auto industry for a minute? Hmmm. Bad brakes, bad tires, user negletct. Oh how about a bigger engine.... and no brakes. Cool. Not! Mike has built a pretty good hot rod WITH brakes and a chute.! think about drinking and driving.... texting and driving.... Ok Cars aren't safe. alcohol isn't safe. Cell phones aren't safe... PV's aren't safe.... ok let's outlaw the lot of you. OFF WITH YOUR HEADS!!!:rules:

What magnifies the pv industry is the "newness" and the "unknown". All other manufactured products (those having been in existence for a few decades or more) have a known "common sense" about them. The pv market is relatively new, continually redefining itself, making common sense a bit ambiguous. As time passes, the visionaries of present will set the standard. This scenario is typical of all historical frontiers in any industry. Manufacturers attempt to foresee shortcomings, errors, end user fubars. In essence, they try their best for forecast what "could" go wrong with their inventions.

Having never met the Notcigs team in person, my perception is that there are very talented and gifted individuals working towards a common goal....complete saftey for the end use in conjunction with an appealing design focused on appeal, desirability, and function.
