The sooner the better. I'm lost without your videos, Cozzie.
I attempted my first cleaning today: a 15-minute soak in vodka, a long bath in boiling distilled water, a final flush with boiling water and now I'll let it dry overnight. My dilemma--to attempt a quick dry burn in the morning or not. What do you think?
EDIT: These were atomizers that were clogged and leaking with horrible tasting vapor before cleaning as a caveat so this method should work for all for maintenance I would hope too
I cleaned mine in a small pill bottle with isopropyl...swished them around a few times through the overnight soak.
Took them out the following morning and gave them a hot water rinse and blow out through the cart end.
I then took a small piece of paper towel and rolled the end into a small "wick" that would fit between the threads and the atomizer wall and wiped it out (same for the tank side where the cart fits in also- be careful here though so you do not disrupt the wick or get anything blocking the wick as well).
Then I set them thread side down on a plate with paper towel below to air dry for 6-8 hrs.
Prime through the atty end into the hole with 2-3 drops of juice..... wipe excess off of threads and place filled cart on atomizer. Stand end up for 20 minutes or so to let the juice wick into the attie.
Take 3-5 "dry puffs" without activating the battery to get a good seal and flow going.
I did NOT do a dry burn...but it probably would help to speed the process or to clean off heavy deposits/carmelized juice.
You may have a half a tank or so of vaping before the true flavor and wicking begin to work optimally for you.
Try not to move the cart while vaping, as with the heat and expansion/contraction this interrupts the seal in my experience, so only check the cart when the vapor/flavor drops off similar to a cart.
After a few tanks you will know when this is happening.
Finally glad this system is working for me as advertised
