The sooner the better. I'm lost without your videos, Cozzie.

I attempted my first cleaning today: a 15-minute soak in vodka, a long bath in boiling distilled water, a final flush with boiling water and now I'll let it dry overnight. My dilemma--to attempt a quick dry burn in the morning or not. What do you think?

EDIT: These were atomizers that were clogged and leaking with horrible tasting vapor before cleaning as a caveat so this method should work for all for maintenance I would hope too

I cleaned mine in a small pill bottle with isopropyl...swished them around a few times through the overnight soak.

Took them out the following morning and gave them a hot water rinse and blow out through the cart end.

I then took a small piece of paper towel and rolled the end into a small "wick" that would fit between the threads and the atomizer wall and wiped it out (same for the tank side where the cart fits in also- be careful here though so you do not disrupt the wick or get anything blocking the wick as well).

Then I set them thread side down on a plate with paper towel below to air dry for 6-8 hrs.

Prime through the atty end into the hole with 2-3 drops of juice..... wipe excess off of threads and place filled cart on atomizer. Stand end up for 20 minutes or so to let the juice wick into the attie.

Take 3-5 "dry puffs" without activating the battery to get a good seal and flow going.

I did NOT do a dry burn...but it probably would help to speed the process or to clean off heavy deposits/carmelized juice.

You may have a half a tank or so of vaping before the true flavor and wicking begin to work optimally for you.

Try not to move the cart while vaping, as with the heat and expansion/contraction this interrupts the seal in my experience, so only check the cart when the vapor/flavor drops off similar to a cart.

After a few tanks you will know when this is happening.

Finally glad this system is working for me as advertised

Wow, Camel! That was comprehensive! :) Thank you.

I finally clogged my atty with some Ecopure/Vaperite mix. Don't try to put even a drop of Vaperite juices into these tanks. They are murder; taste great but thick as molasses. They have to be seriously thinned out to work with the eGo-T tanks.

WOW..I JUST tried their juices this week along with my tanks---makes sense ( got organic Ry4 and Toffee 50/50 mix...ok so now we are learning that thick juices heavy on VG or sweet flavoring will clog these things)

Although I am rocking a tank of straight Ecopure Rich right now from Cignot and have had no issues.....

I guess these tank systems may just have to be cleaned every few days or weekly depending on the juice and frequency of use.

Ecopure is doable, in my experience, but marginally. I add a few drops of PG of distilled water to get the right viscosity. Vaperite is really thick. You can cut it with a knife. Great for dripping, bad for cartos and tanks.

I'm really glad you are giving it a whirl and I'm looking forward to your thoughts and impressions going forward.

After one full day of use.. I am SOLD.. as far as functionality, ease of use(I would imagine even for a newbee), structure and performance. now I just have to wait for longevity of the atty. I am shooting for one of my three atties to last at least 1 mo of constant use (knock on wood). I am being selective of the types of juice I use in it, since I am afraid if I get it too gunked up I can't revive it (I don't clean atties too often).

Cozz: I know we both were fans of the GenJoye cartos... which by the way are still excellent, but a little on the fragile side.
I also love the egoMega cartos, but could be inconsistent at times when it comes to numerous refills.
but these things are atties and nothing compares to the taste of a drag of a properly juiced atty (IMO). These things seem to stay juiced for the duration of the tank. I did try @ 5v, but not with much success, the design doesn't seem suitable with anything too much more than the 3.7v range.(which is fine for me)

I have used other feeding systems that work great, but at this time in my life the amount of juice they held is a bit excessive for my current habits. These tanks hold enough to get me by to a time I am willing to do a refill ( I don't mind refilling, just prefer not to refill every time I want to take a drag :D )

We will see in time, but at this point if they design a egoMega cylinder type.. though I will most likely try it , I am content with the amount these hold.

more to come.

I mentioned this previously..... but it's worth a re-mention:

Because of the design of the "nose piece" on battery, those of you who use this system on the Riva batteries will probably experience a slightly "tighter" draw. You may actually prefer this.. but if not, you can "loosen" the draw by backing the atty off 1/4-1/2 turn.... or by making the two air slots a bit deeper with a Dremel or jewelers file.

Don't understand this but after a day of vaping the XL carto which is still going excellent, I switched back to the tanks today and got a lot more th and flavor.

I may have had a sinus infection or something the past week as the taste of vapoir just wnet but seems to be back now.

I sleep iregularly (as well as mostly everything else for better or worse) so that could be it and I do still have 2 cigs twice or thrice a week if I drink.

lightgeoduck - my TAWA is a month and 5 days old and has been cleaned twice with hot h2o and then dried and has also been boiled in evian for 2 mins and dried and still vapes like new, if that means anything to you. This is after me blasting the crap out of it with the way I used to vape and getting the burning taste three times. I am now using a type of draw reccomended by jantykorea and 7 days later have noticed not a drop in performance or even a little burnt taste. Laso the tank I'm using on that atty has been used for about 3 weeks.

Wish my review of this thing could be more consistant.

They do go through juice fast as heck though. BUT it seems to be for the first half of the tank. Then the 2nd half lasts a lot longer. WAY longer.

Anyone else noticed that?
