Well it says EVOD Twist on the battery, so whatever you call that. Anyways, I should have just used the liquid I had already been using in my ego-T since I knew what it tasted like but I was eager to try out one of the other liquids I had..well it tastes like straight up pesticides, so I guess my question is does this sound liquid-related or tank-related? It's not vapeable at all and I have no idea how to even clean this thing now. Thanks in advance.

More than likely this is a liquid-related problem. Some e-liquids are just bad. :( Some taste bad at first, but after some steeping (essentially allowing the mixture 1 - 2 weeks to age) they come around. But more often than not, if they're bad initially they won't improve a whole lot.

It's also possible that your tank's coil head was bad out of the box. Not unheard of. Try a replacement coil head after cleaning the tank with some running water and allowing it to dry out.

I'd try what Baditude said. May be that you got a bad head, or the tank needs a cleaning.

Otherwise may be a bad batch of juice. Not a whole lot you can do there.

Probably a dumb question but is there supposed to be a bunch of cotton-y looking stuff inside the tank? This is very frustrating. All of the videos on YouTube and anything coming up in Google shows similar looking models, but not the same one and I have no idea what I'm doing. The manual that came with it isn't very helpful.

If it is that link you just posted then it's actually not a clearomizer, it's a carto tank! Do you have an extra punched carto? The white stuff in the middle is called the polyfill and the coil is deep inside that polyfill. Usually once you fill a carto tank, the flavor is gonna stay most of the time. You would have to change the carto and prime it again if you want to vape a new flavor without the old flavor getting in the way. If you have not seen Baditude's blog posts then you should take a good read! :) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-5-baditudes-cartomizer-tank-setup-guide.html and http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-carto-tank-what-guide-juice-attachments.html

In my experience you can only clean the tank itself and not the carto (the silver tube with the polyfill). Once the carto has been vaped with juice in it you can try to boil it and let it dry for about a day or two and prime it all over again but most likely there will be a lingering flavor of the former juice. The links I edited back into my post you can take a look at about carto tanks

My bad for not requesting a link to what you have. I assumed you got a clearomizer; what you have appears to be a Smoktech Pyrex Cartotank (or a clone). It uses cartomizers.

Read the links that were previously posted about cartotank setup guide. It will show how to correctly fill the cartomizer and then fill the tank. The cartomizers are a disposable item; good for 2 - 3 weeks and then will need to be replaced. You should be able to fill the tank several times while using the same cartomizer.

There's no good way to "clean" a cartomizer. Most people accept that they are disposable and throw them out after they begin to have a tight draw.

Purchase additional cartomizers from one of these vendors: VENDOR LIST FOR PRE-PUNCHED CARTOMIZERS

What you will need is an 45mm length cartomizer for that tank. Boge XL, Ikenvape Mega, or Smoktech single coil replacement cartomizers that are pre-punched (laser-drilled holes or slots).

Now that I know what you are using, you probably didn't fill the carto enough prior to filling the tank. This is the MOST IMPORTANT STEP. This likely is what caused you to have unsatisfactory results. That carto is probably burnt beyond repair. Try a different NEW carto following the steps in the setup guide in my blog.

@Baditude..thank you so much. I've definitely gotten off to a rough start with vaping. Would it be possible to use a clearomizer with this battery?

You can indeed use a clearomizer with your Evod battery. I recommend a Kanger Evod, an Innokin iClear 16, or an Aspire CE5 BCC.

Don't worry about the rough start. We've all been there and done that. Don't give up. You will be soon be vaping and enjoying it. :)
