So this will mean I can't order nic from Nude Nicotine, or flavors either?
This may have been answered further down the thread, so I apologize if this is redundant.

You are in a unique position being so close to Nude Nicotine. From what I've been told by several vape shop owners, you will not be able to buy nicotine online. You will have to be able to present your ID in person to prove you are old enough to possess it. That means none of us can buy from Nude Nicotine, but you'll be able to walk inside, present an ID, and purchase your items.

I don't know htf that's supposed to work for other businesses, since it's not like there's a nicotine solution seller in proximity of most people. But if I have to fill out a bunch of paperwork to "permanently" prove my age in order to buy nicotine, I will.

Yeah, I read some comment that regulating replaceable batteries would be difficult, and something about following voluntary something or other. Here's the quote:

FDA agrees that it is not necessary to regulate batteries that are not intended or reasonably expected to be used with a tobacco product under its tobacco product authorities. However, it is important that batteries that are co-packaged with other parts of an ENDS (e.g., cartridges and tanks) or otherwise intended or reasonably expected to be used with ENDS are components subject to FDA's tobacco product authorities. FDA remains concerned about reports of exploding e-cigarette batteries and finds that regulating them can help address these problems. Toward that end, elsewhere in this issue of the Federal Register, FDA has made available draft guidance, which when final will describe FDA's current thinking regarding some appropriate means of addressing the premarket authorization requirements for newly deemed ENDS products, including compliance with existing voluntary standards for ENDS batteries.

This sounds an awful lot like the foundation of an unintended consequences origin story. For the FDA to regulate batteries, it's going to have to be very, very specific. Not just "any battery which can be used to power an e-cigarette" because that kind of ignorance would ban most batteries available on the market (many of which are not ideal, but can be used by knowledgeable people), and getting too specific would mean no batteries would truly be banned. Plus, I don't think that's under the auspices of the FDA to do. Maybe the EPA, but congress has also been taking away their power little by little. It then becomes an uphill battle as the tobacco industry doesn't have their talons in all the other departments necessary to ban all the bits and pieces that make up AVPs and battery mods.

Yep, I spend most of my time indoors, within a few feet of a handy 120V AC outlet, or in a car within a few feet of a handy DC outlet. I don't really NEED any battery at all to vape in those places. All a battery does is make it more convenient.
