You are indeed very organized. I on the other hand am a mess. I probably waste a foot of kanthal because the stuff springs off my roll and I end up kinking the heck out of it to get it back on. I like your idea of pre cutting a bunch, might have to try that, thanks for the idea.

I put some on cardboard unroll a little and work with it When I recoil. Zero waste

Ha...been there. Most frustrating. I now use an elastic band on the roll to prevent that.

Is there perhaps a user guide anywhere? I know with some things I've bought, you can get a user manual in .pdf format, and it's handy for quick-referencing things like how big you cut your mesh, etc. Does such a thing exist? If not, would anyone consider making one?

P.S. How big should I cut my mesh? :D

Probably not a unique problem to the DID, but does anyone get an air bubble in the tank creating a 'false fill' effect when refilling? It's happened to me several times. I suppose one could just syringe out the air prior to refilling but is there another quickfix anyone is aware of?

I would expect that to happen only if the air had no way to escape as you're filling. How do you fill yours? Syringe, bottle tip to fill port or some other way?

Hey. I noticed that as well. I started filling slower and it seems to have fixed the issue. Its also ideal if your fill needle is smaller then the fill hole to allow the air to get out.

Ya, needle is certainly slim enough to allow air to escape. I usually fill it slow...no choice as it comes out only so fast from the needle tip (18 g I think). Last night I 'thought' I filled it; about 1/2 an hour later I got a huge dry hit as tank was completely empty.

I don't remember where I read it but I remember somebody saying that they used a syringe to syphon out the juice from the tank before filling. That way they had an idea of how much juice there was to begin with, and then added the difference.

It may help in your case too.

Either that or a "clear" window may help. ;)

well while waiting for my DIDs I've got another rebuildable to practice making wicks and let me tell you it's just not as easy as it looks on the videos my first 3 attempts pop immediately my 4th attempt has hot spots but I'm afraid to mess with it because it s my last piece of kanthal
Make sure your battery is low... but of course never depleted!... Vape your freshly charged 4.2 battery down to a good 3.7 or even 3.6 charge before testing a new wrap.

Jack Frost method first your mesh. Found in Striker's #1 video I believe.

Make sure no coils are touching the mainframe or top cap.

Make sure the wick isn't touching the center post
Make sure the wick isn't too far away from the center post

Make sure the coils have a hair of space between the wire and the wick. (easiest to learn by using the tobacco paper method in Scotts (Igetcha69) video found in Mr.Mann's INDEX
Make sure the coils don't have too much space between the wire and the wick.

You'll get it! Hang in there!!

I am going to buy one of these but I have a quick question(s). How flush does it sit on the provari? If it does sit really flush, does it matter? I mean do you draw air from the bottom or just through the air hole on the side. Also, can you adjust the air hole to bring it closer or further from the wick. If not, how do you alter throat hit/heat of the vapor? The genesis style atomizer I have right now is nice but it is not pocket-able like this one. It's a tank but top will slip off. The tank on this ones is threaded, correct?

Yea, was trying to avoid that extra step with the syringe but it's a sound suggestion. Tried other quick fixes to no avail. Banging the DID repeatedly on my forehead didn't seem to clear the air bubble :w00t:

I really like the SS tank and for now I'd prefer to stick with that, although I am also expecting the clear tanks soon.

Both these methods work for me, plus, like ElfStone, I tilt the tank to scoot all the juice into a puddle before slurping up with the needle, and to release the liquid from the needle into the puddle space of least resistance.
Using a long thin blunt needle... actually, my Zenesis needle whatever size that one is. Anyone know?

Grrrr.. can't find 34 gauge Kanthal A1 anywhere that I can order today. HELP ME!!

400 and 325 mesh, I'll order from the Mesh Company unless somebody can find me a place that has both the 34 and the mesh.

I plan on running around a 2.5 - 2.8 ohm coil so figured the 34 would be better than the 32. I am correct in this assumption right?!

I concur with your assumption Dusty. I find it much easier and forgiving with the 34awg to get the 2.8Ω and higher coils. I had a link on ebay for 33 and 34awg kanthal but it now says seller is out of stock for 2 weeks. The diameter of the wick always kinda plays a part also, fatter the wick higher the resistance. I'll keep searching for both 33 and 34awg. The mesh company in "my opinion" is the best for the money. 2 sheets for a great price. No one else has the xtra free sheet for those prices in the U.S. that I've found but you will wait a bit longer to get it. ( I got mine in 9 days)
