Yes, 4 is optimum! Also, those little boogers take incredible bounces into no man's land. It's the nature of the way things fall, I guess. I am thinking one day I will drop one and lose it, only to find it in the trunk of my car a year later. What the hell!? How did that get in there? LOL.
As long as you don't vacuum it out.

Question.

Today was my first day with a clear tank. When using the ss tank when I got dry hits I would fill it up. A few times as I put fluid in it came right out the wick, I figured it was full. But I got dry hits very shortly. Added more fluid.

Today with the clear tank. I saw I was running low so I went to add. The fluid came out the wick hole. I tried tapping it. Ended up using a needle to fill it. It still happen but not as much. I would of though the air would want to escape before the fluid. Puzzled

Suggestions?

Tony

Here's how I resolved that issue. Take the syringe and suck OUT the juice in the tank. Tip syringe over and pull back a little more to get juice out of the needle. The while upside down gently push syringe and push the air out. THEN draw fresh juice I to the syringe. Now put all of it back in. Wen the tank is empty it fills like a dream

For some of you tinkerers: I've been running my DID lately with FIVE nuts on the center pole. I found that once the insulator in the base "broke in" to sit flush on my ProV, there was room to get all five nuts on the center pole with complete thread engagement. I've read some people give a fuss about their coils shorting to the center nuts, but I figure if there's room for a nut at the bottom, and the top, that coil should have clearance all the way up.
This gives three vertical spots on the center "column" to get a solid connection on the coil; think of the top nut as either one, two or three brass nuts "locked" together. A good pair of needle nose come in handy.
I'll then make sure my wick is as tall as possible without touching the installed cap so shorter coils will have as much juice on standby as possible.
You can try anything from small, tightly wound, low resistance coils low on the wick to air-hole height, or medium to larger coils with resistance to match. By playing with how many wraps you can cram into a given height (2, 3, or 4 nuts up the column), you can easily recoil, tinkering for hours and never having an erratic connection or systemic hotspots. Not messing with two teeny free-spinning nuts on a threaded rod takes a lot of the hair-pulling out of the DID. Throw in wire gauge, mesh, size/shape of the wick, juice variety, and airhole size; and its like tinkering on Christmas!
The column of brass in the center also does some interesting things for airflow. Now, I know just enough about fluid dynamics to know I dont know squat, but Zen made a pretty big fuss over it in an interview with PBusardo, and I think having a small top nut clearance and a uniform vapor chamber make a difference (though, in the grand scheme of things, it's MUCH less important than a wick/coil with no conductivity issues).

Jim, kudos man. My next order from you is going to be BIG. Anyone reading this who is on the fence about getting the DID, hop off; this is the real deal.

Payment options are closed, when will be reopen?
Jim posted this a couple pages back
hi I want to thank you for the way you hug me and my products.
This last week I had a storm of orders in my website!
and today the site fell down for a couple of hours.
I have to sent all those orders before I open the payment option again.
I also want to say that I have to update and go forword with my products
I like the brass parts but many people want SSteel so I make and sell both of them
This is the market if we want to go forword
So do not complain about old versions there will always be an old one because I will make new one!
I make something that many people didn't get it yet
This is the compatibility of all DID parts to eachother.
when I open the site again I will have the Gemini in polished and satin.
So we have allready (in 4 mounths from the day I started) 3 atomizers and all the parts of them are compatible. So we have a nice toy for big kids like we are! (remember the first look of the DID in your hands)
All the Mini DIDs that you will soon recieve will be with MMvapors logo and serial numbers
The same will be with Gemini.
And when I will take the top caps of the DID with logo and serials I will start to sell the DID with all SS parts with the same price with the mini DID
I do not need more than 4-5 days to be ready!
Thank you again!

I got my DID a few days ago. Been having a hell of a time learning to wrap it. Can't seem to get more than three coils without running out of room, try to make them tight and it mangles the mesh. E1, E4, E8 errors all over the place with my provari. When I can get it to work for a little while I am not getting very much flavor. Anyone know why? I have tried several juices all the same, muted flavor.

Tony

Watch the videos. It all adds up

Wick. Burning, and Not touching the bottom of thank
Coil I put the wire between the post and coil then the ground nut. Keeps it short to the wick No pun intended space to top nut real short counter wise wrap
Don't be afraid to move the coils up and down. If you have another pv. Use it to look at the coils when it fires up. Once it's working put it on the provari.
I don't have a provari yet but that's what I read. Sure members with them can help you better with it. December 24 I will be able ;)

Well I received my very quick only 2 weeks from Greece but alas poor yorek I cannot keep it from shorting. I tried everything not touching tank of center post yet I get an F1 on VMAXX and only one turn in coil glows. Then it reads 9.9 ohms(4 or 5 turns originally 1.4 ohms). I even tried replacing screws with plastic ones with no love, still shorts. Took it to a friend who is much more of a veteran then I with these. The filling nut and other nut really look like they are touching the center post nut as its soooo close I can't see space at all. After 5 attempts I think Im going to try removing center post nut that holds pin in place and maybe using a delrin nut or similar but I'm almost to the point of just putting it in the BIN of "Been THere Tried It But It Wouldn't Work For Me". So frikken frustrating any suggestions would be appreciated. I am going to try rolling paper to make a carbon insulator around coil and if that doesnt work I will have to call this a fail big time for myself!! DiD (pun intended) I mention how frustrated I am right now?? Walking away from this for the night!!!

Bud, watch the videos. It took me half a day to get it right by going through all the helps. Uma has them in her signature. it helps to have a mech mod to run it in... then place on your provari.
Also having something inserted into the wick will help prevent u from losing the shape.

When ohms shoot up high, its usually due to the coil not touching the positive pole.

Hope my two video tutorials help. If you can't fit more than 3 wraps, I suggest using 34g kanthal instead of 32.

Never wrap tight coils and mangle the mesh - watch RWs videos

No worries, it can take many times to get it right. Watch videos and practice - I myself had to do my first genisis TWENTY times last yr. Perseverence pays off

This is just running on and omega. 3.7volt. Battery not even that charged.

Good luck. Your doing something fundamentally wrong. It works.

Glad you posted those pics for him Tony, this way he can see how close those posts are and that its allright

Yea man. You know it's not plug and play. Look at mine all messed up. People get caught up on it looking pretty. Like yours. Its about the little details. Like the vids. Great job! I see you had it on a gg. I want a constant volt. That's why I was thinking of a provari. What's your take on it?
