hi everyone. i just bought a did on classifieds and im sure im going to need some help with it. the guy said its new and doesnt even have the orings in it yet. im very inexperienced with rebuildables. i have 2 phoenix ones and have yet to build any coils and wicks so i may bomb you with questions. thinking i should order a clear tank for this? im a little intimidated by getting this but i think the payoff will be well worth it.
I'm still trying to get the hang of it as a first time rba user. When I eventually get it right it is a great vaping experience. I'm sure you will love the way ms t tastes in it.

I usually use a Dual Wick in my DID. That is a fat thin walled wick with a second thin wick inside it. Today I tried a single fat thin walled wick. It was ok but just for the hell of it I took the thin wick out of my other dual wick and slid it into the single wick. No comparison in my book. Now everyone has their own way to do things and what works for you is great, but, if you haven't tried a dual wick, give it a shot. For me at least, it improves wicking and flavor immensely.
I so want to try this! I'm still at the point where it's all I can do to get ONE wick small enough for the hole, either sized DID.

rollem rollem rollem. Keep those meshes rollin' ....

I do that as well. The reason was because I made the initial wick's diameter too small.

WHAT!!??!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!??!! I just put some Capella's Apple Pie in my DID. I swear it's like eating the real thing!

I'll take some vanilla bean ice cream with that please. Thank you. :D

All of these sound so delicious!
I have tried MsT's before in other attys, but not yet in the DID's. I have some on hand too. I'll have to put her to the test.
So far, I enjoy the fruity flavors with the heavier accent on PG than VG.
I like BB and GJ in it too, but try to keep those in my little recoilable clearomizer tank thingie on my twist.
Now the Mini DID is on my Twist! So now I yearn for PSV again.
I missed that sale (PSV) by 5 minutes that night. Never did go back to MV's 25% off sale either. But I found another place I've never tried yet, and they had a 30% off coupon.. so yeh, I splurged and bought 40 bucks worth of juices I haven't ever tried before lol. I hope they are decent. Anybody here use AltCig juices? I bought the Vanilla along with some others... gooey butter cake, horchata, caramel cappuccino, RY4, Irish Cream, JamaicanMeVape .... SEVEN flavors in all lol.
I hope they're okay.
Thank goodness I still have a little bit of everything I DO like on hand though. (minus the grape, I'm out of the g)

Thank you Miriam!!!
You would have done the same, had you of been there too. My hat's off to you and everyone who had to play the middleman in this situation. Next time, I'll just toss out the link to here in the first place! Thanks for doing that! I was too afraid of forum protocol lol.

That was awesome helping that person !

(it's just fine to mention other forums on ECF...that "forum war" was over a looooooong time ago !)

I use all mechanical and 3.7 w/IMR batts. One DID is wrapped with 30G and 4/5 wraps - the other is 32 G and 3/2 wraps - sometimes 4/3 wraps - no problem. Dont worry about ohms- I never check my ohms - I go by # of wraps and what tastes best. I think - IMO - people make too much of an issue on what their ohms are reading. It's all about the flavor first, vapor second. Just wrap the wire, check for shorts - if ok, then vape it.

Which is what I try to do. LOL

However, depending on which ProVari I try it on, 4/5 wraps may read OP or LO on the V2 mini, but fire on the V1 standard.
(still thinking my mini is screwy)

Just for grins, is it more wraps = higher ohms or less wraps = higher ohms?
edited to add: I use 32g
Most of the time I just use my DID on a mechanical, so ohms don't matter.

ok, so im planning to use this did on my provari v2. i have 30g wire to work with right now. how many wraps? and should i maybe braid it?

I use a 5/4 wrap of 30awg and get 1.7Ω. If you twist 30 awg it would be so thick you couldn't wrap it around the mesh! The resistance would be extremely low as well.
