I think magnets are definitely the way to go! With magnets, you get 0 voltage loss like you do with springs, they last forever, and they'll make it much harder for the copiers to ripoff! If you have any doubts, send POLDIAC with both magnets and a spring! Make everyone happy for almost no extra added costs :D

The 18xxx mod will have a SIDE BUTTON if I remember right.

I do favor my long battery tubes with side buttons, and short battery tubes with bottom buttons. I hope Jim will make an 18350 or 16340 tube option if this is to be a bottom-button battery holder.

Eh, I don't think hotsprings are necessarily the most elegant solution buddy. With the slew of 3rd party replaceable fuses out there (updated versions of the $0.02 For Safety), I think the device would perform better with out any springs but still allow for users to install their own fuse if they so choose. Now another route, which is best but not without its own complications, would be to use a mechanical fuse system like Imeo uses, but that's something for Jim and Imeo to sit down over coffee and discuss hehehehhe
+++++++++++++==10 on magnets, as long as there is a hot spring in the PV somewhere

Also, I wanted to update everyone regarding the new UPS shipping service Jim just started offering (or will be offering shortly, not 100% sure)! For something like 20 additional euros, you can get 2 day shipping from Greece to the US! And by 2 day shipping, I literally mean 2 days from the day it leaves DID HQ to the day it arrives at your front door! Now 20 euros does seem like a lot of money, but you really do get your moneys worth if you ask me. My package left Greece on Saturday and I just got confirmation from UPS that my box is out for delivery, so I'll throw up pics of all the hardware I have coming in from Jim! As a teaser, I have a standard DID, custom edition Gemini, Temon set, G-Prov Box, 4 new top caps, 2 new SS tanks, 2 new pyrex tanks, and a few other spare parts! After unboxing everything and setting it all up, I'll be sure to take TONS of pics of the Temon, Pyrex tank juxtaposed to the Kir Fanis tank, a group shot of all 6 of my DIDs together, and then I'm going to start prepping for my reviews of the Temon, G-Prov box, and Gemini!

Holy crap! To both the 2 day shipping and the teaser!

Hehehe, it's more of a 1-off prototype rather than a "custom edition". It's basically a normal Gemini, but it has some added engravings to the bottom of the tank and around the rim of the top cap that match the teardrop engravings on the Provari :)
Custom edition Gemini?

Just want to say a big thanks to Jim for making an amazing quality atomizer and also a special thanks to my buddy Rick (rwechsler) who was kind enough to show me how to set the DID up for an awesome vape.

Jim next time I'm in Athens I'll send you a PM so we can get together for a coffee. I wish you much success with your great products and look forward to get more of your awesome creations.

Steve

So happy that I could help get your DID up and running my friend! And btw, your DID looks absolutely beautiful on your new brass TB! I think you're gonna give Dspin a run for his money as far as pics are concerned ;)
If you ever need help wrapping a fresh coil, you know how to reach me! And if all else fails, you can always mail me your DID and it'll be my pleasure to set it up for you!

Thanks again Rick, I really appreciate your help. I got it down now, it all has to do with adjusting the coil to get it firing evenly on the mesh wick. I have a long way to go to reach dspin's truly immaculate PV's. I sometimes wonder if Dave vapes with custom made microfiber gloves on:laugh:

Even though I know it's not true, I can't help but think the same sometimes...His devices all look a little bit TOO GOOD to actually see daily use, but I know that most of them get vaped almost every day. What's even crazier is that he only hand polishes his PVs, he doesn't even own a machine buffer!

Maybe he's padded the whole house in microfiber cloth  Dave is a stickler as you know for perfection which is reflected (literally) in his awesome collection of PV's and atties. He's the only person I know that will get literally sick at the sight of a scuff mark. Dave is unique and a great friend that's why we love the old boy

My Temon full set just arrived. All I can say right now is, Jim...You DID an awesome job on these packable, sweet, little gems.
I quickly put my Mini on the 14500 tube and it looks and feels great. I need some time to set up the 16mm guy but it will be blowing plumes this evening on the 14650 tube and my collection is all most complete.

The little drip tip that came with these is also perfect and will now have me wanting some for my other DID's.

GREAT JOB my friend and Thanks again/

I'm working today so only have time for a single image:

I also forgot to mention the great little locking bottom switches on the Temon set. I'm afraid my Zen set ups are going to be collecting dust.
