So to clean with baking soda, I need a bole, A-foil in the bottom,teaspoon of baking soda, drop in silver and give it 5 min. Is this right?

That's for all the "fancy pants" over achievers... I simply dump some baking soda in my hand (dry) and rub it all around for 30 seconds. Works a treat and only take 3 mins to clean everything.
I think you need boiling water also.

Here is some interesting info on cleaning silver. It rates the various products based on how abrasive they are. Baking Soda and Tarn-X seem to be on the "do not use" list! I have found that the baking soda didn't really work for me. After cleaning my contacts with it, I then used some Weiman Silver Polish and was shocked at how much black tarnish it removed!
