Whats the air intake hole issue.
.Wait bro. Where does telling someone that the product is not for them work with the point your trying to make? The nut and screw where to close and causing an issue. Nothing can be said to change that. I am sorry that I might have hurt your feelings here, but none the less I paid for something then fought with defects for 2 months. I think that entitles me to a mini rant in the least. Need I remind you about the intake hole issue? Its in this thread.
Well if they are contemplating buying it then dont you think its fair to voice the negs as well? Thats something I dont get about the Ecig community. Everyone seems to only talk about the good and leave out the rest. Oh its my fault that I wrapped the wire all the way around the screw and not just one side so the screw will not .... over towards the + nut. No one would think that the DID they bought would have that issue, but here it is. The wire was not between the two. The reaction shown on the nut was the entire width of the nut, not just a small portion from what a wire may have caused. If that was the case I am sure its no question that it could have happened once, but not every time I made a new set up trying to get it working correctly. So yes my rant is just. If you want to turn that into some sort of pissing contest then thats your prerogative. Im not wired that way.Yes the nut and screw was causing an issue. This is not a defect, either known or unknown as your post suggested. It's not my feelings I'm asking you to concern yourself with but those of the host of this thread. There's a huge difference between a defect in a product and a setup issue. You appear to be confusing the two. You are NOT entitled to a mini-rant claiming a product defect in Jims own thread when it is unfounded, IMHO. It's like going to someone's house who is serving you dinner and complaining there's something wrong with the food. There's a way to do that and a way not to.
Don't forget other people read this thread that may still be contemplating buying a DID. Your inaccurate information of 'defects' are misleading.

Really. Thats a real knee slapper. Nice talking to ya. NOT.Out of respect for Jim and his thread I'm not going to continue this further (even though I REALLY want to), as it would only serve to derail the thread again. Both my posts and Striker's speak for themselves.
Ahhh, man... I feel for you. But... for the sake of people reading, there is something... a curse or something preventing you from getting a good experience from any Genesis product really... You ended up with a cig lookalike after trying the best mods out there, because none of them was for you, right? Zenesis didn't work for you, Katana didn't work for you, God knows what else didn't work for you... and now the DID just.. doesn't work for you.
I get it, you are very frustrated, I would be too... But understand that the DID is really a very good device and maybe, just maybe is your curse... striking again...
Please take this as it comes, with no bad intentions, just .. in the interest of the "potential buyers" that you have history of odd one out bad experiences with great products, and getting flustered when people attempt to help and/or defend the product.

Katana, Orion, sorry... What all these devices have in common is that you have to expect a little fiddle factor. But that's not what I was saying. I was saying you objectively have had certain issues with them, I wasn't saying you made up any of that.
Now, I wish I could help you, but I only got both my Zenesis and my DID working with the help of more experienced people here so I probably couldn't do much![]()
I'm sorry you're having so many problems. Please PM me or hit me up on skype and I will walk you through troubleshooting any issues you're having.
I will do likewise for anyone else who's having problems with their DID! If your DID isn't performing like you think it should, you just can't set it up, or you have any general questions regarding the device, I implore you to skype me and I will do my best to help you out. I've available for video calls as well if that's what you're into. My username on skype is rick.wechsler
Wow Rick!! That's very generous of you!! I hope someone tags your post.
I love this thread as much as my DID.
I even love my DID on my purple eGo Twist... and can't wait for the mini to come out. It's a little top heavy right now.
(pic looks blue, but it's deep purple). Oh! and a RIDGEMONT drip tip.

I tried wrapping the coil like that too. Was also a no go for me. It does seep some. Whats worse is my PV has a floating pin with a spring under it so I cant tighten it to help with the small leak. Something needs to be done. Id just like to know if anyone has gone over this issue before I have to bother Jim about it. Its easy to tell it was shorting by looking at the nut. Once I the battery is done charging I will try to get a picture posted.

Hey guys, I really want to thank you for all the support. Really means a lot, no BS. Rwechsler I am going to add you and if I have anymore problems I hope you dont mind me asking away. Thank You for offering the help.
Now to the best of my ability in an attempt to end the drama. Its normal for a person to get frustrated especially when you find issues that are so rare. How hard is it to wrap a coil and wire. Its very hard when your intake hole is clogged and when your integrated connectors are shorting out. Its all fixed now though and I admitted to sort of being wrong. But drama persisted anyways from a person I was not even talking to. I avoid drama most of the time but when someone sticks a thumb up my .... of course I am going to have something to say. Its who I am.
To JIM I dont wish ill will. As long as it works in the end really what would I have to be mad about. (In short) On the other hand; Like I said the issues where a PITA that not many people would think to look for. So here is what I found. Little rant and done. Oh, then insert drama from the monkey boy. So sorry if I offended anyone. It just seems like only one was offended though. Oh well.
