I would like to order a DID and can't seem to find the website. Are they in stock or is there a waiting list? If they are in stock approximately how long will it take to make it here to the US and what are the prices. i know they fluctuate a bit, just approximate price? I have wanted one for quite some time and think I am ready now. Thanks. :)

The site: Atomizer "The DID" by MMvapors, one for life! OUT OF STOCK!!!!!!
The time to order for me was 3 weeks. But I guess they were out of the 1mm cap and I had added one of those on. August 14 seems to be the next ship date. The current translated price is about $100 USD.

Mine shipped yesterday. Not sure exactly yet as to how long it takes to receive it. I'll be curious to see how long it sits in customs.

The latest preorder also has the mini DID. I'm hoping my impressions of the DID is what so many others here are. If they are I'll have to keep my eye on the mini

Those satisfied wont look for something better. You see some people are almost in a situation where it's a sin to try another device from another vendor other than what their supported vendor carries

What o' what is that about?:D I am not trying to get into a big thing here, so that question is more rhetorical, but I know exactly what you are talking about.

Anyway, I think today is the day to go blowtorch buying. I am in the process of getting my vape station prepared so that I can be a prime canDIDate for success with this splenDID rba.

I'm feelin' a little cheesy y'all. (Paula Dean impression)

Hey, Provari guys, what is the summary on problems relating to DID? I am thinking about getting one, haven't paid much attention to problems, but have seen threading issues recently. Currently use volcano lava tube with no problems whatsoever, but like look of Provari, should I hold off on purchase, or go for straight mechanical mod? Your opinions will be most welcome.

Since you mentioned mechanical - look at my signature for my preferences

Since I'm in the same "waiting" mode as many of you, I decided to experiment with my Kanthal to try various methods of creating a coil. I tried wrapping it around various drill bits which worked ok but then tried using a small machine screw. I'm sure this has already been mentioned but I can't believe how perfect the coils come out. Once you wrap the wire around, you just unscrew the screw and you end up with a perfect coil.

Coming from someone that doesn't have any working knowledge with The DID, I read this exact point of concern many times throughout the thread. Those stray mesh hairs are (I guess) seemingly insignificant and otherwise hard to detect, but absolutely necessary to deal with nonetheless.

If you guys fold in one side and start the wrap from the other side, you end up with folded side to the outside - no problems with strands then.

Also Torch the mesh both sides before even wrapping, then torch a couple times after wrapping

I'm having no luck with getting my DID delivered.

Tracking on Greek postal site just shows it last seen on 26th July and no movement since.

Just put the same tracking number in Royal Mail and it doesn't exist.

I don't mind waiting but 18 days so far since I purchased.

I've sent an email to Jim and just got a reply suggesting I check my spam folder.

Not impressed so far. Not here by Monday I will need a refund and I'll pick one up in the classifieds.

I've also ordered a Mini DID and at this rate that won't be here until the middle of September.

Should use a courier that has website in different languages.

Not knowing what is going on is the worse part.

Rant over.

Wow is all I can say. Just got a regular size did in the mail. Spent 15 mins oxidizing a wick wrapped a coil and wow. Flavor is amazing and it is chucking vapor. Build quality is awesome too.

Congrats Benc, glad your liking it. Of all the Gens I have used and owned I consider the DID the best thus far.

Rant is not good. It's not Jim's fault you have not received it yet. The postal system has it now. Mine sat in customs for quite along time. Did I complain?? No. Most people wait from 2-3 weeks after it has shipped. Far as asking for a refund - that is unfair.

Now this I like, and could most likely do. What size screw are you using? I've got boxes full of them.
I have no idea what size the screw I used was Dusty. I looked through a jar of screws and picked one. I need to wait until I get my DID and mesh so I can first make a wick and then choose a screw that makes a coil just wide enough for the wick to fit into.

ok so I looked through all the posts and continued to try with my DiD. I have oxidized the 400 ss mesh like 8x with water and 8x with pg. I wrapped the coils making sure they weren't touching and they were nice and tight, however it is saying E1 on my provari and I'm kinda getting annoyed. What else could be wrong. I've watched like 10 vids on it...I didn't expect it to be this difficult...
The coils shouldn't be tight, really. Nor should they be relaxed. I might be wrong, but I think your coils might be too tight. Did you try it with Scott's tobacco paper method video yet? The paper provides that air of space that is needed for a perfect tension.

(I hope I'm way too late on replying to this post and that you've gotten this totally figured out and are happily fired up).

Awesome! Thanks wasabi! Want the regular. Just wasn't sure how to do the whole pre-order thing.
I get a little bit lost on that myself. The website takes me to the home page, with Scott's video, instead of to the DiD sales page. The Mini-Did sales page opens though. Maybe the others are out of stock even for pre-orders right now?

Only 19 Mini's left on site

I know this was very likely discussed but has anyone wrapped it with a paperclip? Did that provide ample space? That's how I've wrapped my mesh with another atty with good success.
