Mr. Mann...MAKE YOUR OWN juice!!! That way you can use your extensive knowledge of this atty and you can done DID Everything to create your vaping nirvana! Sorry I can't remember off hand what pv you use, but if it is VV you can make your own necter of the gods to match your mesh, coil design, the coil itself, voltage, wattage, and resistance to create your own personal perfect. That is the entire reason I got into the mods, diy and now rba's.

BTW...Hello everyone! I've been reading this from the first post for a couple of weeks now and am (not so patiently!! STUPID USPS) awaiting the delivery of the culmination of my ideal vaping experience!!! I currently am vaping on a Saber Touch that is 5V regulated w/2 AW IMR 16350's and a liquinator. (so OBVIOUSLY it was time for an upgrade!) This place has taken the majority of my spare time, but I am stoked for this baby to get here! I only want the BEST, and after all I have read this is it! I do have a quick question for the veteran "DIDiots" (lol) out there...with my pv specs, what wick coil set up would you recommend?

Thanks in advance, and keep up the great thread y'all! Mahalo and Aloha
Welcome Wolfman!!
The DID is certainly a great vape, and affordable too. It's my fave so far out of the ones I've tried, and I hope to purchase more in the future. I want a DID for every flavor like Overall and Cloud and .. so many others do. They're that great!

As to your questions, I'm not the one to answer, but I'm sure someone will come along shortly with experience and knowledge for your particular device.
I would suggest starting with a 6/5 or a 5/4 wrap and remove a coil if it's too cool. If it's too hot, then restart all over with a 7/6 ....
But, please, don't quote me. Just trying to ring bells here and stir up a knowledgeable poster. :)

For all who are nervous - my tracking showed it was sitting in NY customs the day it was delivered. You must sign for package so its not going to your neighbors house. Tracking for US customers - It does not show until it hits the US. For everone else. - from the time it is mailed - if you have not received it in 30 days - then I would contact Jim. Not before.

Ok. Didn't know that it's a signature required item too. Gotta plan for po pickup when it gets here.

ok, i gave up on setting it up on the provari and now am attempting to do so on the silver bullet. still no fire. I unwrapped the coil and did the fold. The wick was working just fine the first time i had it set up, so i don't think that's my issue. I know it looks close in the pic, but the wick is not touching the screws. What am I doing wrong?

I'm having no luck with getting my DID delivered.

Tracking on Greek postal site just shows it last seen on 26th July and no movement since.

Just put the same tracking number in Royal Mail and it doesn't exist.

I don't mind waiting but 18 days so far since I purchased.

I've sent an email to Jim and just got a reply suggesting I check my spam folder.

Not impressed so far. Not here by Monday I will need a refund and I'll pick one up in the classifieds.

I've also ordered a Mini DID and at this rate that won't be here until the middle of September.

Should use a courier that has website in different languages.

Not knowing what is going on is the worse part.

Rant over.
Can you post your tracking number here? Some of the posters here are very tracking savvy.
If it's in Customs, there won't be any updates to the tracking at all, until it leaves Customs and is in the postal hands again. Most of us received our package before tracking caught up with the postal service!
Have patience. Good things come to them who wait. It's probably an hour away as we speak. :)

edit: wow, I'm way behind today. I just read a little bit from back to front and see this has been covered, as well as a few others I replied to. Just ignore. :)

ok, never mind I am getting there:blink:

just a thought, if your not getting fire to the coil at all then make sure the coil wire going to the neg screw is getting good contact.

I put a new coil in mine and had no fire and was like WTF messed with it for 20 min and found for some reason i had no contact to the ground. the screw for some reason does not like to tighten all the way down.

tibyn, it does appear to me also that insufficient clearance may exist between the nuts and coil. Might the coil also be wrapped a little too tight? You should be able to pull out the wick and replace it with minimal friction without disturbing the coils, ie, barely touching the coil.

I know many have successfully done so but I don't use a particularly fat wick. Perhaps if you continue encountering difficulties you may wish to construct a thinner wick that doesn't touch the entire inside of the wick hole diameter as this increases the possibility of shorts (particularly if not 100% oxidized) and decreases the distance between the positive post and your coil wraps. Once you get it going right you can always experiment with a thicker wick next time.

I also find that a new coil contracts and expands a little more than one that has been broken in a while so while it's heating/cooling it may actually pull the wick closer to the post, touch, and cause shorts. Hope some of this helps.

Check that screw and make sure it's not one of the defective ones that I understand slip by once in a while. Those are not threaded all the way to the top.

I know this was very likely discussed but has anyone wrapped it with a paperclip? Did that provide ample space? That's how I've wrapped my mesh with another atty with good success.
I have and yes. :)
Straightened large Safety Pin works well too. (plus offers a longer handle during the wick burning process. Seen in an Igetcha69's video)
