I have done 0mg nic. Unfortunately my juice is so darned delicious I could have sucked gallons down a day. Kind of like opening a bag of your favorite candy ...you keep eating till they are gone. I now keep 4 to 6mg nic in my juice. It gives my brain a sense of satisfaction and an off switch. As a nurse unfortunately I can't sit and vape all day ....although I have an awesome boss who let's me vape in my office.
Wow congrats Mr Mann, glad it isn't me. Mine are more than half grown. Although I love babies until they get past 6 months after that I will gladly give them to anyone to raise (just kidding I think ).

Not me. Mine is somewhere between Greece and Detroit. I am not even looking into the tracking; it will probably get here the same day my new mod and a ton of juice arrives. I, however, am absolutely thrilled for everyone that has recently gotten theirs! I actually like waiting. Plus, considering I just found out my wife is pregnant (our first), nothing can trump that wait.

If I did a 6 wrap with 32 awg my ohms would be at 3+. I get between 2.2 and 2.4 with a 4/3 wrap. Have been thinking of adding a wrap to increase my ohms and save battery life.
Try pushing in the very bottom coil to flatten it against the nut or base to add more contact. If the wire is red coming off the top nut shorten it a little but make sure the other could are not touching the nuts. I put everything snug to the nuts tighten everything up and then use a tiny screwdriver to make a narrow space between the positive nuts and the wick. Then you can also try rotating your wick and raising it a hair to see if that cures the short.
Word of advice to the folks expecting their DID's.. JUICE. Stock up in advance. Also, go right now and apologize to any device that you may have called a juice hog before this. Never have I gone through 2 ml of juice faster than I have with the DID. I filled my tank when I took the picture earlier this evening (around 8:00pm). I just got a slightly dry hit about 5 minutes ago, and thought to myself that I had perhaps developed a hot spot on the coil. No! there was less than 1/2 ml of juice left in the tank. 
Take my advice and stock up before you receive your DID.
To the experts, is this normal behavior or was I just chain vaping my backside off without realizing it?!

PRO TIP! LOL. Great advice! I have already started buying nothing but 30 mL bottles! If you want to drive a muscle car, prepare to gas up, right?!

@Dusty: I hear ya about the juice hog thing. I'm usually 4ml-6ml/day and when I finally got the "DID" figured out I had a couple 10ml days. I was nervous that was going to become the new "norm", but it's settled back to where I was before. I think the transition back to normalcy happens around the time mussmod and tinker fetish diminish back to simple blissful utility vaping.
How long does that process to normalcy take?! I've only got about 350ml of my ADV left. At 10ml a day (OMG, that's a lot
), I'll need to restock within a month!!
I'm not real experienced with genisis style. I have my did for two months. Like most I have read and watched as much stuff as I can.
Here's my 2 cents. The wick. Just burn the crap out of it. Even if you just have a lighter. Cut all the hairs off. That should be good enough. The paper and cotton are masking the other issues. The coil .
After I rap my coil. You will need to move the wire a little were the hot spots are twits the wick tighten the top nuts. Just move stuff around until it stops. No real formula. Once it gets coaked up its fine. I even clean my wick and coil with it all connected every few days with alcohol wipes. Then I coat it with some juice and have to move stuff around again. Works fine.
Personally I have never had the types of constant issues people complain about.
The coil and wick are a lot stronger then you think. Pull and tug at it.
I made the same mistakes like most people built it had a short. Then rebuilt it again. I finally realized it not that. You just need to fire it up look at it. If you have hot spots move stuff around until it stops. Let it cool for a few sec before moving it then fire again. Been using same set up for 2 weeks now. Before I was changing it when it got gummed up. I tried to clean it after 4 days instead for changing it. And I saw the light. Great unit. Love the did. I watched the video with the paper even after he did all that he had a short. He just moved stuff around and it stopped. Not to say it won't help. But IMO not needed.

LOL, it took me a couple weeks. Fortunately I have a cabinet of about 50 miscues from my earlier days of perfect juice questing. For my preferred stash, I have my "every day" DIDs a std & a shorty that just work flawlessly and that's ~5.5ml, good for a day. For tinkering I have a third and don't care about burning through crud juice playing with all the good suggestions (I still want to play when something innovative shows up in the thread). I guess I'll run out of that stuff some day, my wife would be glad to get a shelf back in the laundry room
Sounds to me like "you got it". All good advice. One trick (that showed early in the thread) that you can use to clean the wick when it's all gummed up is to dry burn on an empty tank (don't take anything apart, just remove the top cap) and then just stick the wick under a lightly running faucet (rinse & repeat). It'll get off all the gunk and bring back the full flavor (seems to diminish when the wick gets clogged up). When satisfied it's clean enough, just refill and vape away.

The DID is like a Hot Rod...The harder/faster you run it, the more you gotta feed it. I sure ain't complaining.
