OK, so I go to site today to buy brass center pole with nuts, just for a spare. Ah, what the heck might want to try out the all stainless setup on the old DID, might as well order also, ah heck, since I'm here I'll order a satin mini, just cause. What do I put that new mini on, once I receive it? So what do I do? Go and order a precise + 18350 two tone. Good grief, someone please stop meeeeeeeeee! Hi my name is Rick, and I'm a DIDaholic.

Well I bought a new toy.....my own electric drill and a titanium drill bit set.
I went ahead and bored out my 2 caps with a 1mm hole to 1/16th "......wow what a difference that made. Awesome flavor and vapor. Has anyone tried a 3/32" vapor hole? I think I will try it on one of the caps. Nothing to lose.
I will have a couple of spare caps as soon as my order arrives (I wasn't brave enough to drill so I ordered 2 new top caps). Who knew drilling would be so easy.

If your going bigger, would probably go in 64th's (can always go bigger, much harder to put it back). Next larger from 1/16 (4/64...) would be 5/64 in. I'm really satisfied with 1/16th so that's where I'm staying (at least for now )

I kind of lean it (with fill hole higher) and then straighten out near the top (so the air bubble stays at the fill hole) and can get a full tank.

LOL, don’t feel embarrassed. You’re not the only impatient one around here. My DID shipped out last Thursday, I have a special tab just for tracking that I refresh constantly. I’m in the NY custom’s holding pattern now.

Has anyone tried the 1mm air hole cap? Prefer it over the 1.2mm? Though it seems most folks bore the hole out to a bigger diameter, not attempt to make it smaller. Which makes me wonder if some like the tighter draw of a smaller air hole. Thanks all!

This is a very good question. What is the difference in air holes? I imagine the smaller one has a tighter draw which sounds good because I find the stock hole to be a bit airy, though I am growing used to it. But people like boring the hole out to be bigger, how does that effect it? I am mulling buying the smaller holed cap out of curiosity, also considering boring mine out bigger to see if I like that, but there is no going back in that regard. Decisions decisions.

Not yet, but I find myself using the short DID most of the time.
My wife is short so I guess I like short things.

If you smoke it like an analog.(into mouth only first) Yes it feel airy. I do lung inhales. Just right.
