I can agree with this. I have 6 DIDs and mixed up the caps only to learn that each cap and top is made to match. Took some back and forth testing to figure out which cap for which DID. Now I only uncap one at a time.
Vapor production can be inhibited but a flooded wick as well. Try some primer puffs first.

Yes. The caps and tank tops are a matched set because the air hole needs to line up. If you have more than one DID of the same size keep track of which cap goes to which because flavor goes down and TH goes up if the air flow isn't right and there's very little chance 2 different ones will be the same.

Mine has those engravings also, but I opted for the satin finish.
Which is nice.... but now that I see the polished, I almost wished I had picked that.

Holy Moley this thread has taken off fast in the last week or so! Even ECF look has changed LOL! I've not been on here due to getting ready for my store Audit ( got 93.5 high green YAY!) now I have 1 week staycation hooray . It's great to see all the new DIDers posting here- awesome for Jim!!! I have it on chrome provari and it looks very good, but not that great like your SS setups.
I am thinking to go for P+, although never had any mechanical mode, so I am not sure.

Dspin, can you tell me what setup works the best for you on Precise; omhs, V, mesh, juice?

No negatives at all. The DID fits the Precise like it was made for it. I only use 3.7 - MNKE IMR or AW IMR 18650 batts, 400 mesh - I used all VG or 70VG. 32G Kanthal with 3 or 4 wraps depending on my mood. When I use 30 G Kanthal I use 5 wraps. I never check ohms, I dont find the need to. Its a set # of wraps and that how I like it.

Dont care for my tobacco juices at all on any genisis. I do however like the fruit/sweet type juices for it. Genisis makes your juice taste diff. thats for sure. You just have to try diff. ones to see what you like best.

Oh and got 2 mini's delivered yesterday

I gave them a welcome home vodka bath, polished and assembled but just too tired to wick &coil. Maybe tonight. I also need more mods and haven't mentally agreed what to get (I seem to want 2 of everything....). Does anyone make a 4000mAh 18350 battery? I want tiny, big batt capacity, shiny, variable voltage, all mechanical with electronics that tell me volts, ohms and let me set by power. In other words what I want doesn't exist (actually not even possible ). I'll keep looking...

LOL! Well it also depends on what juice you use, I use a very soft 100% VG RY4 at only 6mg nic. So the TH is not even that pronounced. But i do get tons of vapor (I would put an old steam locomotive to shame) and tons of flavor, and that last is what i go for ;-)

All those pictures with the nice mini make me wish i had not gotten that last energy bill !!! Turns out after last extreme cold winter i have to pay a LOT extra now. :-(
So it will be October before i can order more stuff from Jim :-(

Ah ha!!

I was trying to put it in the same hole as the insulator in the top, and it wouldn't let the unit go together as it's not threaded.
The screw on the smaller, double threaded ends post would not thread into it.
Putting the unit together without it, the screw wouldn't tighten on the thin center post.

I slid it on the thin center post, small tip towards the top of the unit, then slid the post up the middle of the already put together unit.
NOW the screw will tighten.

Ok... off to wrap a coil.

I am unable to get my mini back together. Any ideas?

One white plastic piece goes in bottom connector, then the rod through it. the other white plastic is in the top connector, for rod to finish going through

I learned a lesson today !
Hold the tank part firm when you unscrew the cap...I eventually had loosened everything up

It got a bit messy...and it was fun to get it back with all the markings lined up right

And just for curiousity, I repeated putting the screw in the fill hole. Vaped well for 30 minutes or so. Then seemed like it didn't wick well and brought metallic taste. Removed the screw, and back to vape zone.

Yeah I have some trouble with mine not wicking very well, I like having the screw in the fill hole though so I don't always have to keep the thing upright. With the fill hole screwed up, I can leave mind lying down and it doesn't leak.

Jim, if I may have an upgrade suggestion (though never worked in manufacturing, so maybe it is impossible).
What if the center pin for the mesh on the body would be insulated by a small ceramic piece? This way no oxidation would be needed (as long as the mesh is not touching the base in the tank), just roll a mesh, put in and go?
What do you think guys?
