In my experience this is exceptional, over the top customer service. The fact Jim is offering a 50% reduction on the top caps so none of his prior customers feel 'left out' speaks volumes about his priorities. Customer satisfaction and integrity first, profit second. It's no small wonder why you have developed such a loyal following Jim. The new 'designer' top caps are an absolute steal with this discount. Thank you!

This is GREAT!! Jim, I have 4 DID's that I need engraved logo polished top caps for and will order more standard DID's when the new ones come with engraved logo top caps. This DID is a great genesis product and my personal favorite atty.

Only DID's Ive seen so far engraved are the mini's. Never have seen any engraved standard DID's. Perhaps he means top caps for the first mini's out. I am uncertain here and think we need Jim to clarify just which ones will be engraved.

I was planning on trying the dual wick myself and also a cotton wick inside the SS mesh with a little hanging out the bottom to maybe prevent the short issues if bottom of tank is touched. Has anyone tried a cotton wick inside a SS wick?? How did it wick? flavour??

I usually use a Dual Wick in my DID. That is a fat thin walled wick with a second thin wick inside it. Today I tried a single fat thin walled wick. It was ok but just for the hell of it I took the thin wick out of my other dual wick and slid it into the single wick. No comparison in my book. Now everyone has their own way to do things and what works for you is great, but, if you haven't tried a dual wick, give it a shot. For me at least, it improves wicking and flavor immensely.

Has anyone ordered their SS mesh from The Mesh Co. ? how long does it usually take for the shipping? I've been waiting for 11 days.

Took about 2weeks for mine. So you should see it any day now. Can't remember if I had to sign for it. Mail man brought to door since was in a large brown envelope. The mesh is laid on a rigid board so it doesn't get damaged in shipping.

I DID. Ordered 2 sheets, they tossed on a third. Ordered on a Monday. Received the following Monday. Pretty fast considering the pond.

Alright, Ive been pondering getting an advanced atty tank for a while now. Ive looked into Odysseus, Zens atty-U, Orion and I hear lots about the DID. Tell me please, some unbiased (if its possible) reasons the DID is better/ different. I know there are a lot of variables, but what Im looking for is something rugged, easy to setup( i know, I have to make the wicks and coils) I want the least fiddly, complicated, twitcthy, and leaks are a big factor. I hear with all the ones listed you have to keep upright or juice will wick right out the tops. Also, I hear that you have to tip the others, especially when juice runs low to keep wicks wet. I need something that I can take around with me and not have to worry about loosing my juice. OF course looks and fit is important. I will be putting it on my Saber Touch and its a bit over an inch in diameter, so its either the reg size DID or the short. I thank you for your opinions and suggestions. The DID is beautiful and is well made from what I see and hear.

I believe that all current Genesis style tanked atty's will leak if laid down or inverted. You might want to look into a dripping Genesis (if they exist) if non-leaking is a must. I don't own an Ody but I don't think they leak. Of course they use silica wick not SS. Benefits of the DID (to me) are larger wick hole for better wicking, and I like that everything screws together tightly instead of being pushed together and held in place by the o-rings. Others here will have more (better) feedback for you.

A lot of what you're asking has to do with wick setup. If you build a skinny wick (not touching the wick hole sides) and leave the fill srew out, it will "leak" if tipped. If you leave the screw in, build a fat wick and crimp the top (pinched shut) you will get "seepage" if left on it's for a a long time. I carry around a DID all-day/every-day and have never had it leak into my pocket. I did have some minor seepage into the top cap when left over night. Interestingly, even if it seeps into the top cap, no action required, stand upright and it'll seep back into the tank through the wick or have a crazy good chain vape session to empty it out. I do also make a point of try to keep it pointing upwards in my pocket as good practice.

Nope, I dont enjoy the dripping experience, Im a chain vaper and it gets too tedious, but I suppose dripping into a larger area with a larger reservoir might be better that dripping into such a small area like an average atty. Thanks for your input. How is the DID as far as ease of access for rewicking and such. I know some are smaller and makes it harder to access the holes and screws etc.

Thanks cloud wizard, I like your comments. Is there a video that shows how to wick it in the method you described? Thank you. It always hard to make a decision when there are so many gorgeous items out there. I like a beautiful atty tank, but function is the most important thing when it comes down to it.

The did is a tank. I have dropped mine 20+ times. Works great. It lives in my shirt pocket. Amazing vapor. I used 36mg with cart now only 20mg for the same feel. Once the tank is less then 3/4 full you can lay it down wick side up. No leaks. You can't go wrong. Standard did tank is good size. But consider you get so much vapor because you are using more juice. For me I rather have bigger tank then fill it all the time. I fill 1 to 2 times a day. Not sure what pv you have but for me 1 tank full will need 1 18650. Good 10-12 hours of pleasure. :) we all vape different. Iused many different batteries. So if you tell me what you are using I can give you ball park. I am a moderate- heavy user I think. Genisis are not plug and play like a cart. What you put into it you get out. But by no means hard.
I'm just a dumb Brooklyn boy and I got it to work. :)

Plus you couldn't find a more helpful group then on here. The same as my VTX forum ( motorcycle). The did is under priced for the quality. But we don't tell Jim that.
Good luck

Thanks for the responses, I have a 3.7 / 6 volt saber touch. Its simple and mechanical. (thats it on my avatar) I run AW IMR 18650 batteries. Im waiting on some AW Protected 18650 2900mAh to have when more time is needed. I am now using boge 2.0 cartos in glass phinac tanks as my basic set up. I also have a VIVi nova using the 2.4 ohm heads. I have a IKV 1.8 atty, which I hardly use as dripping is not cutting it, I chain vape. I like the VIvi , it vapes great, good flavor, lots of vape clouds ( I have modified a few things and its great, not had to rewick it yet) I just dont like the finish and roughness of the threads etc on the Vivi.

I hope that information helps. I do tend to like a cooler vape. Maybe because when I use hotter items, either it tastes a bit burned ( on the vivi 1.8) or with cartos I get dry hits and tend to burn them.

PS, I havent tried the Saber Touch at 6 volts yet. Kinda scared to.
