Hi,
I received DID few days ago, but still I can't get good results on 3.7 battery without stabilization (PAPS). Mesh 400 40x30, 40x35, dual 40x25 + 40x15, 40x30 + 40x10. Kanthal 0,2 (32awg) from jimi, 2/3 and 3/4 wraps. Diffrent combinations, and still no good results :( no hot spots, but vapour is week, also TH and flavor. It isnt bad, better then cartos, Vivi etc. But still miles away from my other geni atty where I've got the same resistance, mesh and liquid. Maybe someone could wrote detail for perfect config for 3.7v (wraps, wick size, etc). I don't know what I'm doing wrong, never had problems with mesh until I've got DID ;(

Shipping notice the 17th and here it is on the 20th. I wait longer for stuff from the lower 48 after ordering most of the time :D

After cigaret-lookalike, midrange and high-end it turns out there is another level...

Top-Class!

I thought this would be the perfect combination in the mid-size that would meet all the demands I had for my first 'life-time'-setup.
Well, I'm holding it in my hands right now and yes, for me this IS the perfect combination.
Everything is in balance in this combination

My compliments, Jim...excellent!
Thanks for such beautiful work done.
I'm very happy with it.

The next is bringing it to life and I'll make you some pictures for the album.

Is forgot to mention that I only use flavorless juice... My coils are pretty clean, så I don't think that the problem is gunk...

So let me make sure I understand you right..... the "flavour" of the "flavourless liquid" drops off after a while

Nope............ sorry mate, but you have me on that one............ No idea

Have you tried adding a bit more of the "unflavoured flavour" to increase the flavour of the "unflavoured flavour".... ;)

What wattage do you like for vape. Your ohms may be a bit high. A twisted coil or maybe 30 awg might improve vapor and th.

Titanide 14500
And to be honest, I think that Jim's Mini-DiD is, at least at this moment, the only atty that really matches this 14500.
Something to do with curves and dimensions...:2cool:

Can't speak for the other sizes, though.

I don't know, I never calculate this ;) But Im very happy with other attys, 1,8ohm@3.7v. The same resistance in DID and no good results. I ordered 32awg kanthal to lower the resistance, but until it arrive I'll try twisted coil, thanks for tip!

MAX DIDS sized.jpg

The Gemini has landed!

My photo skills don't do this any justice at all, sorry.

While I love all my DIDs I think the Gemini so something particularly special. The design is outstanding and I received an absolutely flawless example with the typically high degree of craftsmanship and machining we're accustomed to seeing from Jim.

It vapes like the mini, which is to say, outstanding, except it has a slightly larger tank. It's the lines of the Gemini I truly love and I believe this is going to be my favorite. Notice the flow with Jim's drip tip. Yes, they are ALL Jim's drip tips in the pic, and high quality ones at that with a wide bore opening. While I think it looks great on the SS Zmax I can envision how it would look even better on a flat-top mod like a P+ or Caravella. Frankly, I don't believe any DID collection would be complete without it.

The only thing I find with the mini and Gemini is that pronounced chain vaping will heat up the top/tip more than on a standard DID. Not burning hot but certainly warmer. This is to be expected as the thinner metal and smaller chamber will not dissipate the heat as much as on a standard DID. This is not a problem for me as if I'm in the mood to chain vape I either use the standards or change the tip on the Gemini/mini to my longer Tanbur SS tip or another non-metal one.

I ran out of Maxes so I had to use my iTaste for the mini pose. It works well with the mini, particularly with a 2-ish ohm coil.

As for how they all work on the maxes....well, as you can see I have 3 of them and that should tell you something :)

Thanks again Jim for your excellent products and customer service!

It's really pretty, feminine pretty even. If I ever go shopping for a 14500, I'll keep this one in mind for sure for my DID. Lovely!

There's that Gemini!!!! Looks great!!! Good to hear it passes the Fuzzi test and is highly recommended. I'm going to get me one (as soon as I can swing it!) then. Thanks for the writeup on it!!
Nice Max's too!! I have the Zmax in my wish list for 6-8 months from now. Looking forward to updates on how it's doing for you as the months go by. Love the VW mode.
Beautiful pics Fuzzi!!

Aw you're far too kind Uma....we know a dspin or Brigit I'll never be as far as pics are concerned! So far so good on the Zmax, VW is more useful than I thought it would be and it works just as you'd expect. Although I've heard of a few duds out there, I personally have enjoyed great luck with all my maxes. Original is going on 5 months now without any significant problems.

I think you will enjoy the Gemini. For my tastes and uses I categorize them as follows:

Workhorse - Original DIDs
Portability - mini and short DID
Style - Gemini. Definitely the Gemini. As you will appreciate the slots cut into the Gemini complement the slots on the Z/V maxes (and Provari) very nicely.

My exact setup with the did, it should be perfect. I would suggest you must have a short somewhere. With my 1.9 ohm, at 3.7 v, I get great flavor and th. You are vaping at about 7.6 watts, more than enough to generate good vapor and th.

Just a note for those having issues with shorts. Last night I went ahead and tried some 3mm silica wick. I used 2" and folded over one end 1/2" to wrap some 32awg Kanthal around the doubled wick. Inserted the single end into the wick hole and all I can say is this, for me, is much better than the SS wick. Not only does it taste better and give me more vapor, but it even wicks great with the screw in the filling hole! Just my two cents.

Just throwing this out there, I finally tried that rolling paper method for rolling coils. I never really had an issue before with shorts from my coil, but I figured I'd give it a shot. It seemed to work pretty well. I got my coil glowing evenly with less fiddling it seemed like. It seems like a nifty little thing I will continue to use in the future.
