Super sweet. You may not even need to lock it to go in a pocket. I love rhyming .And I like the fact that it can't get Jammed up on the lock. Unlock alignment not critical will fire with a crescent moon. call it a moon phase lock. Matches my reverso. You are like a fine watch builder.

I have to ask Jim, will there be an option for the Poldiac without the slot cut-outs?, I'm a sucker for clean lines and easy cleaning, for me it would take about a day and my Poldiac slots would be full of pocket fluff and dust bunnies

I agree and I think the knurling on the DID does not go with the slots, so maybe a DID with no knurling? Just my opinion, looks very nice though

For folks having a tough time setting up their Mini/Gemini, here's what I do (I use both in daily rotation). Typical for me is Kanthal 30awg 4/5 - 1.2ohm-1.4ohm.

1. Jack Frost (torch both sides of mesh before rolling)
2. ~1mm flat folded leading edge (seems to eliminate shorts/hotspots on the edge)
3. Fat wick (full width of wick hole)
4. Thick walled with a center channel (as much #500 as I can wrap around a 15ga blunt tip needle and still slide into the wick hole with very slight friction to hold it in place but slide in easily)
5. Sizing ~1mm off tank bottom, even with center post top (after getting the roll correct I trim with scissors and the reroll ends to be round)
6. Wrap coil on wick before installing and twist ends 1/2 twist to keep shape (I find it easier to wrap a nice coil - not too tight, nice and evenly spaced before sticking wick in)
7. Holding the twisted wire end in hemostats do 3 juice burns (light on fire and let burn out) with a 1/4 turn of the wick in the wire between burns. (this seems to temper the coil into the perfect shape and by turning the wick between burns I get a juice layer under all areas of the coil - minimizes break-in)
8. Install wick/coil (snug but not overly tight at top/bottom - nudge to even out wraps)
9. Fill and vape (4 out of 5 times flavor vapor is perfect, for that 5th time I simply twist the wick 1/4 turn and keep vaping - repeat till no metallic/burnt taste)

Sometimes I'll do the dry burn after install to see the evenness of glowing coils but most times I just juice it up and go for it. This seems like a lot of steps but really goes very quickly once it becomes habit and (YMMV) it seems to eliminate/reduce and fiddle time required once the setup is complete. Another cool aspect is that these wicks last a really long time (weeks/months), can easily twist out the wick for dry burns/cleaning or to recoil using same method above.

For any style wick/coil if you're having problems try the 1/4 wick twist. Another trick if going for the dry burn glowy coil thing is to simply blow on the hot spots until they go away.

...and for anyone interested, that method works great on any of the larger sized DIDs too. I just use larger sized mesh (40mm x ~100mm instead of 40mm x ~60mm - on either simply trim till it fits easily but firmly in wick hole) and reduce the number of coil wraps to 3/4 to get the same 1.2ohm-1.4ohm or sometimes drop to 28awg and stick with the 4/5 for about the same resistance range - 28awg 3/4 will drop to 0.9ohm-1.1ohm - which is great on a 100% mech mod but may give E1/E2 on Provari.

Lol, I was training Rangers in Germany and traded some towns kids 3 MREs for a bottle of Cointreau (assume they swiped it from their folks). Man, the woods of Germany get cold and windy when you're stuck in a tent, but that night was alright...

But it is an amazing liqeur and the best if you want to stay warm and happy ;-)
It has been years I treated myself with a bottle....maybe this Christmas will be a good occasion?

Yummmy Stuff. Funny, I've had some terrible times with a lot of other "stuff" and somehow came out the other side (5 years in the Infantry can cure a lot of maladies). Nicotine and some of the finer libations are the last of my vices. I think I'm ok with going to the grave with a DID (on a Poldiac hint/hint/nudge/nudge) in one hand and a glass of 18 year Oban in the other....
