Jim, you may want to alert your web service provider. 10am Athens time may show a slight "spike" in activity - to intrusion detection monitors it could look like a DOS (denial of service) attack which would automatically shutdown the site...
So I did a little modding to my DID this evening. I just sent Jim the pics with a plea for him to add a setup like this to his arsenal. This is a steam machine!! Double 32 coils at 1.6Ω with 2 #500 wicks. I have the top cap drilled to 1/16" and the airhole is centered between the 2 wicks.
Send me your top section. It took about 45 mins and that includes the trip to bLowes to get the 1/8th bit. Center punch 2 spots and drill 2 holes. The wick holes can even go a hair closer together for the U wick setup. PM if ur interested.

Wow. I am impressed. Maybe I'll have to give this a thought. A U wick perhaps in the future.
You sir, are epic. Let's see an ultra fat U-wick in there next! I've always dreamed about making a modification like this to one of my DIDs, but I don't have a drill press and I've never taken the initiative to take it to a machine shop to have it done professionally. Now that I've seen how beautifully yours came out, I think I'm going to make a trip down to a local shop to see what they can do for me.

Jim, I noticed that you have the Poldiac on your site with all of the different choices that you can make. Can you post a picture with a description of each piece? Probably me just being slow, but I'm not sure I understand what all of the choices refer to.
