For me personally the kick is something that is of no use to me since I generally vape above 10 watts.
But if you vape below that it is a great way to basically turn a mechanical mod into a regulated mod.

Is there anything out there that goes higher? I vape around 12 watts? Didn't know the kick only went to 10 watts.

Mechanical mods that can accept stacked batts go about as high as anyone could want and more. I believe my 1.5Ω coil vaped at 7.4v is in the ballpark of 36 ish watts.
DO NOT attempt anything close to this without lots of experience and a full understanding of the consequences of failure. Batt failure/flamethrower for 1.

I think with the Poldiac you would get the watts you want by setting up your coil to the ohms that would give you the watts you desire. Not messed with mech mods too much, so take my advise with a grain of salt. Others on here have much more experience with mech mods.

I was curious about the kick because when the battery starts to drain so does the vape. I guess I will have to live with changing batteries more often than I do now. I WILL HAVE THE POLDIAC!! LOL

I have to say, Jim, you DiD it.
Where everybode hides behind: how many variatons can you make for a battery tube'
You managed to give it a complete new and personal character, my compliments for that.

But also my complimenents for all the people here that have shown so much sportmanship when things went wrong with the engravings.
The DiD thread seems to attract people with a lot of common sense and is, for me at least, a fresh breath in the e-cig world.

+10~!! I couldn't agree more. Well said.

What atty were you vaping like that with? Only way i've been able to really push 35W is in Odt. Managed to get 30 out of a geni yesterday though! 0.45Ω at 3.7v, but despite all of my efforts, I haven't been able to get a decent 7.4v genesis setup going. Probably going to have to start it up at 3.7v and then move my way up to 7.4v so it doesn't pop the coil right off the bat. I'll figure it out though...I always do when it means taking this nonsense to a new stupid level....
