One of the best holiday meals I had was a roasted chicken that was mailed to me in the field (wrapped in about 2 inches of aluminum foil). We heated it up on the engine block of a Willy's jeep and my whole squad got a piece. I can't imagine doing that now, but then it was a feast.

Hey Rick, you always cover the bases but a couple things I'm interested in seeing:
  1. How to disassemble/assemble the button (including the "tool" Jim mentioned)
  2. How to swap button top/bottom
  3. Tips on maintenance (especially important things to keep current path maxed)
That'll all get covered :)

Just got back from taking my 3 boys to see "The Hobbit". Gandalf fired up his pipe and all I could think was what would it have looked like if he whipped out a Poldiac and started vaping. From all the pictures they look like they could've been made by the Elves...
No joke, when I went and saw it, I knew that Gandalf's smoke ring was coming (read the books), so I let the fattest ring I could blow go into the air! It was epic.

Most read books in my library (including the Silmarillion). I would have loved to have seen the other patrons reactions to that. I had my Provari with a 1/2 full Std DID in my pocket but only stealthed.

There were quite a few gasps and laughs...I'm pretty sure they thought I was getting high xD

On a side note, filming is coming along quite smoothly! I found a new location in my house to record and everything is looking great so far!

So far I've been filming for a total of nearly 4 straight hours (with the occasional break to post here on ecf and have a quick vape)! I have all of the footage regarding the complete assembly and disassembly of the entire device, as well as a step by step guide on how to configure the button in the bottom mounted position. Now all I have to do is combine the clips, edit everything down, render it, reshoot a few little things here and there, and then upload it all to YouTube! I just upgraded to a new laptop (16gb ram, quad core 2.7ghz processor, 750gb solid state HD, retina display macbook pro ) and got my internet bumped up to 50 mb/s down 20 mb/s up, so hopefully it wont take 72 hours to render and upload like my genesis atomizer tutorial did....And btw, all of the POLDIAC footage was shot in 1080p, so hopefully the quality will be crystal clear!

Your doing a great job there Rick, looking forward to watching fruit of your labor.
Thank you! The final product is rendering now, so "in about an hour", I'll be able to start uploading it to youtube! The tutorial is a full 38 minutes long, which I'll admit is ridiculous, but I really tried to cover EVERYTHING I possibly could! I hope the obscene length doesn't scare anyone away from ordering one...

Dont let people take the piss on you because they long RW. People who are intrested in the items you review apriciate the detail you put in them. I for one want to know EVERYTHING from a certain item before get it. For some people/friends this will be the first mech mod so it needs to be covered.
Waiting patiently

Rick, your review of the DID is the reason I ordered mine, I'm sure the Poldiac review will help others to pull the trigger. Looking forward to watching it, no matter how long, in order to get the most out of her, thanks!

Thank you guys! The support I get here on the DID thread is what gives me the drive to keep making these videos, you really have no idea how much it means to me :)

The lighting and the noise in the pic make the DID & Poldiac look like they're gold plated. AWESOME!!! :)

When i get my hands on a DID (eventually) I'll make a review in bulgarian language. Hope more people over here will start buying Jim's creations. Too bad it will take a while, i'm way over the budget cause of the holidays (but my nephews love their presents, so well worth it).

Oh boy! Oh boy! And you don't know hard it was to type this (nic sick) but this thing hits like a freight train and I am just running a 1.5 ohm coil on it. I just love the button action and the over all craftsmanship is superb. The bottom button is a piece of art in of itself. Magnificent!

I'm doing this through Tapatalk for ease of posting these pics.

Relax! There hasn't been any issue.... Jim will find a solution!

I know and Don't care how long it takes (DID I say that)

I'll have this gem of a mod for a lifetime, so a few more days is nothing to wait.

Please take your time with my order.... BGYGRMMVN

Looking forward to your review Rick, We're lucky to have someone that makes the time for us.
To exert such efforts to detail and all the editing and retakes, ect, ect. It'll be the highlight of my day for sure!

I love all the new photos as well, keep 'em coming folks.

Regards

Oly
