LOL Tell me about it.
Hell... I'm having a hard time convincing my wife I NEED a Poldiac for my burpday coming up in a few weeks. Maybe a few back massages and foot rubs are in order.
Cool, thanks cw. I use about 1-1/2 18650's per day so it doesn't sound like batt life would be any issue.
Size wise I was thinking the HyDiD would be a little shorter than the Poldiac with a D20 but looking at Jim's pic here I think it's about the same length.
I think I need to go over to the pic thread and spend some quality time drooling .. umm.. errr... I mean researching the size of this 18350 powerhouse to get a better image in my little head.
Right now I'm using my Provari w/ D20 for my "out & about" so if anyone wants to snap a quick pic of their Poldiac w/ D20 next to a Provari w/ D20 feel free to post it here.

It's not something you want it's something you need. Once you get it you will understand. It's so well made. No wires to break. No switch springs. I don't see how it can break even with my usage. With the Gemini not even tipsy. One for life. Like the did.

Jim I know the Hydid is your focus right now. But here is my idea for the Apollo.
Using the same design as the current top cap with the notches. Retool it to be the base of the apollo. Then slope it like the Gemini to the temon top cap. New center post that screws into the poldiac then Apollo slides over it and screws in.
The Apollo will be unbreakable and look seamless and hit hard I can't buy for a while so you have time. Lol.

For now how about the center post for the mini/Gemini ..

LOL Tony, tell your Mom it's what you want for your birthday. It worked for getting us the Poldiac at Christmas
Looking at the pics of the HyDID, I think it will look kinda like a big Gemini with a D16 top cap. The Temon reviews all favor the D16 cap as a perfect bridge between the D20 and the D14. Haven't heard anyone be able explain why but apparently it's the perfect sized chamber & wick size combined with a little more room for setup?
Backing up the thread to a few days ago, is this the porous ceramic and size to get?

Hi Uma, those will fit in the D20 caps. They're about ~3.2mm and the wick hole is 3.5mm. There is a co-op with much better prices (5/$10) but they'll be a couple weeks.

I can think of a lot worse places to be than chillin' in the backyard, sitting around a campfire with a cooler, my dog and a full Poldiac. Gotta use reverse psychology, if she thinks you're having too good a time while out there she'll make you come back inside
