This is a question for Jim. Will there be a possibility of you producing the contacts in the Poldiac out of pure silver as opposed to silver plated as I am sure that after time we will all wear through the plating as much as we love this thing. I wouldn't mind paying extra. Anyone else besides me willing to pay for solid silver contacts?

I think the HyDID is a PolDID with an identity crisis...

If I get it, the HyDID will be a kit that eliminates the 510 connector on various DIDs so that you have a Poldiac native base and direct current from the switch. The PolDID will be a new option that comes from MMV as a Hybrid (maybe new new designed top)?

all guesses...

wonder what confucius said when confused?????

I will let you know when I order them.

On a different note, I noticed a drop in performance with my Poldiac and started checking everything. If you adjust the battery positive screw until it compresses the battery spring as much as possible and still get the bottom on, you get a significantly better hit. Some how after changing out 20 batteries, the battery positive screw drove itself back in.

Just tried this and DAMN!! Huge difference.

Pure solid silver too soft for that mate! I am sure you are refering to the screws. Plenty of spare screws on website.

I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up but there was a guy over on vaporwall (lullis I think his name was) that made the "fine" as the whole mod was made out of .999 fine silver, so I wasn't sure.

Regarding Poldiac switch maintenance, I did myself having to clean the contacts every few days as the button has to be pressed a bit harder to get contact.

Given that the coating of the switch contacts are super thin, will any harm come to them if I soak in an ultrasonic cleaner?

Share a little tip. Since I got my Gemini I had trouble getting the ground wire a screw tight by hand, mainly with the 30 gauge. Remember the search for small keychain screwdriver, instead I now make a little hook on the end of wire then hook it on the negative post. You can pull it tight while holding the pv. With the other hand tighten the ground screw.
