Share a little tip. Since I got my Gemini I had trouble getting the ground wire a screw tight by hand, mainly with the 30 gauge. Remember the search for small keychain screwdriver, instead I now make a little hook on the end of wire then hook it on the negative post. You can pull it tight while holding the pv. With the other hand tighten the ground screw.

Tony

Another handy tip is to use Forceps. I use them like an extra hand by clamping them onto the lead wires and let the weight of them pull the wire snug while I'm holding the atty in the air and tightening down the ground screw and positive nuts.

Another great video Rick, thanks again :toast:

I also like good products when it's a feasible option or a affordable one. (that's why I'm here)
I would like to pass along a little tip about mini torch's I picked up a few months ago.

I just about pulled the trigger on a pricey torch when I remembered my buddy is a chef (20+years) in a high end restaurant and thought I'd touch base and ask him what torch to buy.

It happens that he travels to a lot of shows and he's been through the mill with these and asked me what I wanted to spend, 100 plus I said, Well a few things you should know about them. There only as good as the quality of fuel you put in them and some designed for different torch's and other fuels have cheap ingredients that will plug up your torch and you can send it to the Mfg and they will fix and send it back for a small charge, and even if you do everything right, they still can get plugged up.... Ok By now I'm about up to my ears with to much info.

"Cut the chase" He recommended a much cheaper model that he likes for travel as well and if it has problems, He throws it out and grabs another one... So I bought a few of these and absolutely love them...

Warning: Don't watch to much when vaping heavy

Been using the first one for 4 months and no problems yet. And only $18.
Compact enough for road trips being about 1 Poldiac 18650 + High and comes with a nice box as well :D

Yet another great review, Rick. You're getting better and better. I confess - subscribed! Just a hint - fix the URL for the Blazer GT8000 Big Shot Butane Torch. ;)
Thank you for your kind words and for letting me know about the link, it's been fixed now :)

If you've had a torch for 4 months and it's still kicking, that sounds like just about as good a torch as any! I'll include a link to it in the description of my video :)

I will let you know when I order them.

On a different note, I noticed a drop in performance with my Poldiac and started checking everything. If you adjust the battery positive screw until it compresses the battery spring as much as possible and still get the bottom on, you get a significantly better hit. Some how after changing out 20 batteries, the battery positive screw drove itself back in.

Vibrations!

Just a thought on the two screw posts in the Poldiac. I put one of the tiny o-rings used on the inner tube of the Did on the screw of the atty connector. It holds it in place well. On the screw for the positive battery connection I use a slightly fatter o-ring (can't remember where I got it or what size it is) to hold it in place.

It's out for delivery!!! I hope someone's there to sign for it if I don't get there in time. The kids promised they'd hang around... :::biting fingernails:::

Nice video Rick, of that lovely box and all the tools and gadgets. I'm putting it at the top-ish of 2013's Xmas wish list. :)

Nice affordable torch, Oly! Thanks for the link on that.

Have fun at the concert Miriam!

I hope it has a safe and fast trip, Strpswpr!!!

Jim, I think we have a problem. It appears that many of the new Poldiac owners have changed the name to .... OMFG!!!!... :D (really!)

This is a question for Jim. Will there be a possibility of you producing the contacts in the Poldiac out of pure silver as opposed to silver plated as I am sure that after time we will all wear through the plating as much as we love this thing. I wouldn't mind paying extra. Anyone else besides me willing to pay for solid silver contacts?

I hear you!
I will search!
I will put the set of contacts in only brass without silver plating in my website!
I try

I wasn't complaining at all. Sorry if it seemed that way. I am more than happy with the silver plated contacts. Lord knows every other APV maker wouldn't even have tried. It was more of a thought. Didn't know if it was possible or not. Wanted to get everyone else's take on the idea. Sorry if I seemed ungrateful. That was never my intent.

On a side note, I just wrapped a new coil of 3/2 28g kanthal and WOW! Now we're talking clouds! This is the best vape of my life!
