Dino, I noticed that you've reversed the assembly of the nuts on the positive post. Interesting idea. Was it easier to tighten down? Also, should you, or anyone else, find a source for the ribbon wire, please let us know. I can't fiind it anywhere!
Thanks.

Patience for the ribbon, Jim will have in in the shop soon.

It's a good IC battery but doesn't have the same high max discharge current that IMR 18650s have (I think they are 5.2A where the IMR is 10A). They are straight Li Ion so not safe chemistry (Like IMR - LiMn) but do have protections circuits added for safety. I'd only use them if I were wrapping above 1.2ohm coils (or a regulated mod).

Thank you sir. I won't be going away from .8 ohm. I'm spoiled now. I didn't know what I have been missing. My provari is collecting dust as we speak!!

I waited and watched and read. Waited and watched and read. It's going to be time to get a POLDIAC that is all mine.

Jim. You take care of health believe me. I had a scare last summer that had me thanking Godi had quit smoking 2 years ago. I avoided the dreaded C word. Health and Family are THE most important thing in life.

It always happens sooner or later :)
Nothing like a "mechanical vape" and goodbye to random E1 E2 E8 E2 E1 :p

Personally I like and use both, and both have their uses. I like mechanical for fuss free coil/wick setup then swap mods if required for adjustable voltage. Personally I don't always want a hard hit so its good to be able to adjust voltage, also the error message is a good thing and I like to know whats going on inside the Mod that I am holding and sucking on. If I want to vape @ 0.9 ohm I can use both 0.8 ohm I can't. :)

Word to the wise...

Just DID my Poldiac contact maintenance (nice and shiny :)). Put her all back together and pushed the button, yummy! Put her down to clean up and heard the sizzle of hot coil and juice. The button was stuck in and she was angrily firing away by herself. Pulled the batt and it stopped. Be sure to check the Delrin block alignment after rebuilds. It was fine when I was putting her together but it must have twisted just enough when tightening the larger flat contact to turn a little. Caught it quick so no damage done just a lesson learned.

Well, the fact that Olly is allright is of course THE most important...:)

But I think your experiance might be very important for Jim in the development of the Poldiac.
And ofcourse for all Poldiacers out there.
Is it possible to show a picture what exactly you mean with the correct allignment?
I think it could be very helpfull...

You're going to love it, YankeeBobo!

Thanks for the headsup on the button, CloudWizard! I'll be cleaning mine after the 1st, when the bandwidth is paid up and I can watch Rick's video again. OR is there a new cleaning video up yet? That'd be really sweet if there was...

Hey Tony! Last night while driving home in the dark, with Poldiac in hand, I figured out how to find the button in the dark. I couldn't do it by "feel" either, but then it dawned on me (and this is where you, too, will probably give yourself a  ) ... maybe if I push with my finger as I rotate the mod around... and sure enough, easy as pie. This will work in most instances, but, of course, I'm not familiar with your particular instance, but hopefully you, too, can plant that palm. :)

Yea that's a good idea. I twist while I press. :).

As far a cleaning. Maybe I'm lazy. But I don't get any juice leakage out of my Gemini so I didn't feel the need to take it completely apart. I did take the switch out so I could clean the pin in it and cleaned the other screws and the stainless threads.
What I did was separate the switch head. Remove both adjustment nuts then one big nut. Then hold your finger on the switch and turn the other nut out. Face the switch up an slowly let it com up the pull it out. Keep the housing the same way and the magnet inside doesn't move. Clean the ss threads with the switch in. Before or after. Up to you. Good luck.

I copy/pasted to notepad, to re-read repeatedly. It sounds easy enough, I think, ....

I like Brigit's idea of a video to go along with the printed word. How about it guys?

Oh! I keep forgetting to mention it, but I really like your new Avatar Tony!
