Lol. I get banned. AGAIN Anything new takes some time but this compared to other things in life. Shoot I have my 15 year old make a wick for me. He likes learning. I've only made about 8 wicks since last July and 3 of them was just trying other types. But that just me. Tony. the Tiger. Real man Lucky dog with nice hair. And a Gemini poldiac bad .... :) don't encourage me tonight. Lol

Tony

...and humble too :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Should have your kid enter Phil's contest. That would be funny if he got beat out by a 15 year old.

How'd the review go? Did he do an ok job of calling the clones clones or did he call them DID's? Did he show the difference between good DID insulators and bad clone ones? Did he show the difference between well thought out size and placement of holes/posts/screws of the genuine DID compared to the chitty way the clones are tossed together? I can't watch video's until after the 1st dadnabit! And if he's gonna make me ......, I won't watch it then either. (save my bandwidth for Smash or SOA downloads)

Just watched the whole thing. I kinda got the feeling in the beginning he was basing his comments on not such great experiences and the typical gennie noob frustration. By the end, after he setup his Mini really well, his tune changed and he even said something to the affect, "wow, you'll see me with this more..."

If I think back to the beginning, I watched every video and read every thread about building wicks/coils and wish I had a picture of my face when with great anticipation I took my first big hit and got the most putrid burnt/scratchy hit ever. I was so disappointed but learned the most valuable lesson - patience, it'll work. Once you've mastered a setup that works for you frustration becomes minor inconvenience because you also get a complete intolerance for anything less than what you've discovered is the best vaping experience out there today. He77, I don't even bother with nudging on new builds anymore. Good oxidation, make it nice and neat and then just keep flooding the wick with juice (squonking) and vaping till it fixes itself.

(ehm Uma what is SOA? Because in Dutch it is the abbreviation for STD....)

A PBusardo Review - The DIDs

No hurry up review here...55min

So far, 1:54 minutes in I have learned that I am a dedicated motherbeep :D

Hmm at 29:48 in I noticed that he does not have the O-rings around the center post ends in the mini DID!

Ok watched the whole thing now, and I think overall this is not a bad review, specially for the new Genesis users out there. I love the end when he discovers that his wick and coil are working very well.
I would have loved to see a bit more about the negatives of the clones (not just the wick hole not lining up, but more about the difference in quality of the materials) but all in all not a bad one if you remember what his target audience is.
He does need to add those bloody O-rings though, that bothers me! :D

Can someone confirm something for me. Just so I know exactly what is with the POLDIAC. If I order a full set BTO, and I wanted to use two of them, I could just add a button assembly, too cap, and bottom cap (and orings)? The three size pants AND tubes would be with the BTO?

Maybe a set of contacts too?

Top cap (23 euro) - does not include plastic ring
Plastic set (6 euro)
Full button (63 euro) - does not include o-ring or shirt
Poldiac o-ring set (1 euro)
Shirt (7 euro)
Bottom cap (25 euro) - does not include spring
Spring (10 euro)

That all comes to 135 euro, might be better to simply get a whole new Poldiac with different clothes so you'd have a great wardrobe.

Let's take bets. I think it's the show "Sons of Anarchy" (I liked it a lot better before they put it on regular TV - they cut out all the juicy language, explicit adult content and gratuitous violence)

Just received a tracking# from COV for my GG stealth, a perfect reason for me to get a polished D20 BAY-BEE!! Jut put my order in with the spring set & polished umbrella drip tip. I was on the photo album & saw Jim's DID with twisted 32 gage Kanthal, anyone else have this setup & what do you think about it's performance vs 28 gage coils? Hope you are feeling better Jim D.

It ohms out to about the same as 28. Performance difference wasn't very noticeable at all. To each their own though. Congrats on the GG. Who's jealous? This guy!!!

I've used twisted 32 and 34. Always seemed to me to have less problems with hot spots/shorts but seemed a different flavor too. Not necessarily "muted" but still different taste somehow. I use straight 28 and 30 pretty exclusively now, thinking it may be time to play with twisting again :glare:

Interesting recent observation. I used to switch flavors pretty regularly (20-30 different flavors) as my taste buds lost interest but have found I use way fewer flavors now (3-6 regular with an occasional dig into the juice bins for weirdo stuff) and instead switch DIDs. I seem to get sufficiently different great experiences from the various sizes and models that every few days when needing to tank up instead I just switch Mini->Standard->Gemini->Shortie and back around. I do notice a pattern of switching small top cap to large top cap :?:

Congrats on the stealth D20 will look cool on it. I just looked through the foto album and didn't see any stealths, be sure to post some pics when you get a DID on it :thumb:

Sons of Anarchy. :) but the way Tigs(?) is hard-wired, your STD kinda fits a bit. :D

LOL!! I love it! I'm not the only 0-ring challenged vaper out here in RBA land. I hope he takes it apart and puts them on before he shorts out his mod or something.
He didn't cover the difference in materials and stuff? Boooooo to him. But, I'm sure he will after a few months when he's more familiar with them. Right now he's still awed and overwhlemed I imagine.
But, good for him for learning ... it's a big step away from his beloved carto tanks eh.

You win the bet! It's quite a show isn't it. I can't imagine it being more graphic and intense. whoa. Hubby even bought the 1st season on DVD, and he's usually not a tv person. Me? I'm addicted to SOA, Smash, and Up All Night... 3 shows that couldn't be more different from each other. We don't have "tv", so we use DroidTVprimetime on hubby's smart-phone.

Isn't it funny how the various sizes react with various juices? We almost need a journal!
