Jim may wanna know what run number that was from so he can keep a closer eye on them.
My newest D20 #269, the MM laser is faint on the left side, not a problem if I don't sell it so I may brush it and use it for work.
But ya, easiest wick set up of all my rba's, every wick is keeper so far.
Cleaned my Poldiac this evening, totally disassembled. Contact parts cleaned with boiled water baking powder and cooking salt in a bowl with aluminum foil. All other parts washed, cleaned and dried. What a delightful hit it gave afterwards. It is a mind blowing mod.

It's funny, I never knew my mailman (other than to see) but since starting vaping we're on a first name basis. He's even been leaving Ollie dog biscuits (I assumed they were for Ollie...).
My mailman is tired of getting out if his truck for me to sign the insured stuff

I'm so afraid I'll misplace/lose a part, or put it back together ... like I did my first DID.... or ...
but until the day there is a rent-a-poldiac-cleaner service, it looks like I'm stuck having to muster the courage, or wait til my BAM's 26*** battery dies...

It's not bad at all. I was forced to clean mine. (Don't ask) had it trucking quickly. (Aside from waiting for my glue to dry because both magnets came off)

There really isn't much that can go "Boing!" and shoot across the room. I do disassemble the button over a dish towel or cooking bowl just so I don't spazzzz and drop it on the floor but other than being careful with that it's pretty easy-peasey...
Did you douse the entire thing in juice like me (including filling the button housing)?
Once I caught my breath, and the "panic" subsided to "resolve", necessity made me learn it (with the help of Rick's video). Now a full tear down/clean is 5 mins (with PGA thread cleaning and baking soda contact cleaning).

Haha. How'd you know? I didn't realize my mistake until I woke up the next morning and found EVERYTHING soaking in VG.
So I stopped, instead of dropping vulgarity, I calmly took it all apart right down to the very last pin. Cleaned every crevice. Found the magnets in the bottom. Scratched my head some more. Scoured the delrin with some grooves and got the glue ready. Gently placed one in the button housing. Added the second magnet to the button. Put the button 6" away from the button housing. Watched in horror as the magnet shot like freakin BBs (drawn to each other) the 6" to the button knocking BOTH magnets off their gently laid glue dabs landing on the granite counter.
Ok. Take two. Drop the magnet in carefully to the housing. Took one of the spare magnets I ordered and put it on the outside of the housing to secure this one. Carried this assembly to the den. Returned to the kitchen, reglued the button. Proudly stood that up. Put some caution cones up so the wife wouldn't accidentally knock that over. And waited
That whole ordeal.....phew. But reassembly was a breeze other than that. Post assembly required a razor blade to gently scrape dried glue off the granite from the gun fire.

I was having one of those "bizarro world" days (everything just backwards) and filling my DID right before bed with the fill hole down?!?! (I fill through the hollow wick) proceeded to feed her about 3ml of juice. Really surprising how fast juice will wick into all those nooks & grannies. I was lucky on the magnet thing but did manage to get it all cleaned and back together with no joy on pushing the fire button when I realized I'd put it all back together and had 1 spare part (the button contact pin).Live and learn my friend...

It's funny the vaping world. Everything goes so right for so long and then you just have a day where nothing does. You can coil an atty in the dark 29 days out of 30. Then you couldn't get the coil right if you watched 20 vids reminding you of a step you're missing. But I love it.
I lucked out on reassembly. Pin and all. But she's hitting like a champ so reassembly must have succeeded.
Quick question. Anyone on here get glass tanks from IBTanked for their DID? Mine seems a little loose and there is just a tiny bit of juice below the O ring. Was just wondering if it would leak over time?
Well I finally received my ribbon Kanthal today. Made a wick and here are my initial observations.
I used Kanthal D Ribbon 0.6*0.1mm / .024*.004 which is supposed to have approximately the same resistance per foot as 30awg Kanthal.
Did a 4/3 wrap and ended up with 1.2Ω. My normal setup is 5/4 wrap of 28awg at 1.1Ω.
Used a barely oxidized wick. Just a quick Jack Frost, nothing else.
Wrapped it on a drill bit, mounted it and then slid in the wick. Had a few easily remedied hot spots.
I found it difficult to get the wire to lay flat at the connections. In a perfect world, the connections would be designed to accept the flat wire without having to twist it.
I'm getting considerably more vapor with this setup. In fact, I'm using a battery that is at 3.6v which is where I usually switch out batteries.Let me put a fresh one in ........
Much more vapor! Ohm to ohm the ribbon wire puts out more vapor for sure. I find it a pain to connect the leads, but I'll take that trade off.

So true! right now I am having trouble setting wick/coil for my Gemini/Poldiac!......have to put them away for another day
I think Jim should set up shop in Paris and hold fashion parades for all the shirts, skirts, pants and knickers etc. Just so many options to choose from, this in itself must be a first for any manufacturer of mods. Ok enough said I must get back to playing with my tubes (dresses)
My kanthal ribbon should be here this week. I'm curious to see if I can even get the twists to connections made to set up my Temon atomizers (16mm of real estate). I may have to play with it on the ZAP only, while I wait for the DID satin to be available for order - or order myself some shiny pants and shirts with a matching DID. I am not opposed to the latter option.
