Good choice on the CW edition

If you're referring to the MMV driptips in most of the pics, Jim sells 2 versions "umbrella" and "ENA" (Accesories - MMVapors). If you mean the custom engraved MM tips RW has, those were a small batch made with permission and not readily available.

I was referring to the engraved tips, and I figured as much about the availability. Doesn't hurt to ask though

Cool, it's a nice setup with the thinner rope. I also bought some 3.4mm (1/8in) that I haven't tried (will only fit the 3.5mm holes in bigger DIDs) and some 2mm (5/64in) in the mail. I've been really happy with the 2.4mm (3/32in) but still want to try the thinner rope to see which I like better.

I know what you mean - they look really nice. I think Rick only had 20 made but did hear somewhere that Jim was talking about doing them some time in the future, time permitting.

It would complete the set, you guys are right about wanting to keep buying. I haven't even gotten my mod yet but I know I want the 500 and 650 bodies and pants.

And the conversion to make the standard did a short one.. Oh and at lease one of everything else

Agreed. I've seen lots of nice SS & Ti driptips, but Delrin is my go to as the other get too hot.

I was playing with ss ropes awhile ago BUT ran out of patient! because I used 3.2mm on the DID and 2.4 mm on the Gem! Taste and flavour are MAD! but no good vapors production, over wicking, I think, attys got really HOT! I put the rope away.
Then saw you posted Temon with rope and Jamie was talking about it over MMvapors forum plus Burnie71 was interested in, So last night I used 2.4mm rope on the DID, 3/2 wraps .6 ribbon = 1.0 ohm, much better vapor production and less heat on the atty. Vaping on it right now as I speak.

Edit: I wrapped 18mm x 58mm ss mesh to the rope.

Have not got around to getting wire yet, but I am guessing that the 2.4 will vape well with fill screw in place because of the .5 clearance. Are you using fill hole screw or that valve device you showed a while back?.
What rope did you get 7x7 or 16?.

I always use fill screws on all of my DIDs with fat solid wicks except that hard to tame Gemini but with ss rope, I think the fill screw will be where it's belong.
I got some 3.2mm 7x7, 7x19 and some 2.4mm 7x7, 7x19, I will order some thinner ropes to try like 1.2mm,1.6 for the Gem and mini.
If you want some of 3.2 and 2.4 just pm me, I'll cut them to size for you.

That's very kind of you Mate, try before you buy seems a good way to go. Did plan on shopping around yesterday but got caught up with a sticky keyboard, ended up in recycle bin there was no way to get rid of the e-liquid.
Then today I couldn't leave the house, so yeah I will take you up with you kind offer. will pm you now thanks!!!

Thx Dizz, I'll try that on the next build (may be a while this one seems indestructible...). I do have to say, rope has reawkened me to the beauty of the tiny air chamber on the D14. Even with BWB Malty Toffee it is simply blasting the clouds with no burnt/dry hits and tons of flavor.

Your killing me here CW, I have so much mesh I hate to spend more money. Looks like Im going to have to give it a go though the way you all are carrying on about the cable.

I saw those but the custom engraved is what I was refering to. I think the polished brass looks better on the Uma. It is one sexy mod thats almost to nice to vape. All MMV's stuff is a work of art though.
