So I'm a complete noob to the Hana mod and just picked one up second hand. I'm also a complete noob to DNA20 mods with an 18650 in them charged by a micro USB. Anyone here have any pointers as to what could have caused the scenario seen in the pics below? My first instinct was to say the battery vented, but the wrapper around the battery looks fine and is completely intact. It just has that white haze all over it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

That IS very strange. I should probably open mine up more often than I do. Thanks Drew - and I'm GLAD it's working now!

Maybe aluminum oxide?

It very well could be. I'm new to aluminum mods.

If it keeps working I think I'm gonna get in the habit of opening her up once a week just to see how things look. I'm glad it's working too! :)

It kind of looks like battery corrosion to me. Glad it's working for you.

I was sorta thinking the same thing. Like when a battery gets wet and power is supplied to it. I'm sure we've all spilled something in the TV switcher and seen what that looks like. Right? Right. ;)

Anyone know where to get a wrap for the mini? I looked everywhere but all I see are full size wraps.

Send the folks at J an email. I got my full size Hana when they FIRST came out, and by the time I'd emailed them, they were already working on it. I'd expect to see something relatively soon - they're good like that.

Can someone compare the battery life on the Hana mini with the built in battery to the full-size Hana with the 18650? I know battery life depends all on your build and what wattage you use but say in general? at 14 watts?

I own a black hana v2 with a 18650 and using a NCR18650PD and want to buy another Hana but i am unsure if i want a mini or another full size one?

I owned a Vapor Shark which i believe has the same sized battery that the mini uses and it actually lasted me all day. Was curious what others think?

Well see this is were i am confused.. I owned a VaporShark DNA20 and it uses a 1200mah Lipo battery, The thing is beyond tiny! but for some odd reason, That thing lasted me almost the whole day! I vape around 13-15 watts and with normal usage at home, It lasted the whole day.

Now i believe that is the same battery in the Hana mini and i also read somewhere that there really isn't much battery life difference when comparing a 18650 to a 1200 lipo ( i know nothing about batteries so i cannot comment on what i read )

Either i am going crazy or that little vapor shark outlast my Provari and other mods in 1 day. My ONLY issue with the VaporShark, Is its thickness! It looked horrible with anything 22mm and up on top of it ( Kayfun, AGA, Patriot, etc )

The hana mini is thicker and from the pics i seen, it holds a 22mm-23mm ( like a kayfun ) perfectly without any overhang with the vaporshark, all my RBAs and RDAs hung over the side making it look horrible and made it unstable. I loved the size, So thats why the Hana mini ( since its thicker ) caught my eye

I have a wrap on the way from jwraps for the mini. They have the wrap available, just haven't updated website yet. I've been using it as a pastthrough so far, loving it. Russian fits on it perfectly, no overhang. 2 small complaints but I expected these from other reviews: 1)finish isnt perfect, lots of machining marks but appearance doesn't affect me and I have a wrap on way anyway, 2) no charging light indicator. Positives, DNA works great, and much smaller than i thought it would be. Will report on battery life next week.

Which finish did you get? On my full-size v2 i got the matte black finish ( not the glossy that they always show ) and since its a matte finish, It has like a rough feel to it rather then a smooth feel. This finish seems much more durable and doesn't scratch at all ( well within the few weeks i have had it ) I wasn't even aware they offered a matte black but if anyone buys one and is given the option, Go with the matte black, trust me on this one.

as for no charging light, I have seen in the post and also just checked for myself, If you look in the bottom left park of the screen in the corner, You will see the charging indicator light that shows you its charging and when its charged. It easier to see if you look at it in a room that is dark or with the lights out.

How many watts do you vape out? What atomizer are you using? and how long ( estimate ) does it last you in a day would you say?
Can you compare the battery life on it to a 18650 mod you have?
