Which finish did you get? On my full-size v2 i got the matte black finish ( not the glossy that they always show ) and since its a matte finish, It has like a rough feel to it rather then a smooth feel. This finish seems much more durable and doesn't scratch at all ( well within the few weeks i have had it ) I wasn't even aware they offered a matte black but if anyone buys one and is given the option, Go with the matte black, trust me on this one.

as for no charging light, I have seen in the post and also just checked for myself, If you look in the bottom left park of the screen in the corner, You will see the charging indicator light that shows you its charging and when its charged. It easier to see if you look at it in a room that is dark or with the lights out.

How many watts do you vape out? What atomizer are you using? and how long ( estimate ) does it last you in a day would you say?
Can you compare the battery life on it to a 18650 mod you have?

Mine is very similar to the life I.get with an 18650 in a.P... I haven't done an in depth analysis, but it's definitely in the same general area.

That was the same for me. When i had the vaporshark with its 1200mah lipo, It actually lasted longer then my Provari does with a standard AW IMR 18650.

Would you mind posting a pic of your mini with a kayfun or a 22mm topped on top?

I get much longer service from my mini than from an 18650 mechanical............. by miles due to the fact that it vapes just like a fresh 18650 in a mechanical the whole way through the mini's usable battery charge range :2c:

Awesome.. Looks like i will go with a mini then..

You definitely get better life from a lipo. My 3800 Mamu (lipo) gets about what I get with 4400 in a dual 18650 EPM mod.

But the replaceable ones come with a bit less risk (or so I'm told). For example, you can pass through the latter, bit it's HIGHLY DISCOURAGED with a lipo.

In fact, Mamu's instructions clearly void the warranty if you use them as a pass through.

I'm gaping at 11 watts on a Russian 91% metering at 1.5ohms, haven't used it long enough as a stand alone (without passthrough usb) to compare battery life but I will today, don't own an 18650 mod but so far it's comparable to or better than a Provari Mini with 18350 AW IMR.

Here's a pic, and thanks for the tip on checking the battery charge, I totally overlooked the indicator.

And I have small hands!

I'm confused, should I not use the Hana as a passthrough? I want this to last as long as possible so I'll just charge and not use as a passthrough if that's what you'd suggest?

YES! You can use the Hana as a pass-through, assuming you're using the safe-chemistry batteries commonly used for variable devices (IMR, etc.).

And apologies for confusion. My comments were related to the differences experienced with the Vaporshark's 1200 LIPO batteries, which are significantly different.

No problem, but now I'm even more confused, ha-ha. The new Hana Modz mini comes with a 1200mah Lipo, so I wouldn't be using AW IMRs. Should I not use it as a passthrough since it's LIPO, or is the LIPO in the Hana different than the Vaporshark or Mamu's Mod so it's OK?

It does? Ohhhhh - SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did NOT know that.

Ask Trent, specifically, particularly since you want to make sure it's warrantied if you do. But based on research I've done, it's not something I would choose to do. I'm not saying that it's not safe - it's just something I'm choosing to avoid.

Your confusion is understandable, my ignorance is NOT.

I just checked the specifications, between the two models, and I'd have some concerns about PT'ing it. Here are the two warnings, verbatim as posted on his site:

PACK V2 SPECS
Warning: You must have a battery installed to be used as a pass-thru. Damage may occur if a battery is not properly installed. Charge port must be free of any liquid or debris before plugging in the micro USB charge cord. Serious damage can occur if charge area is not free of debris.

MINI PACK SPECS:
Warning: Charge port must be free of any liquid or debris before plugging in the micro USB charge cord. Serious damage can occur if charge area is not free of debris.

Again, I'm not say my inferences are valid, but it's probably worth the price of an email, simply to verify.

So I'm a complete noob to the Hana Mod and just picked one up second hand. I'm also a complete noob to DNA20 mods with an 18650 in them charged by a micro USB. Anyone here have any pointers as to what could have caused the scenario seen in the pics below? My first instinct was to say the battery vented, but the wrapper around the battery looks fine and is completely intact. It just has that white haze all over it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It is possible that juice had leaked from the slit in the atty well and ultimately caused the problem. I have seen a review complaining about juice going into the main body and is simply due to the design. The prior owner could have cleaned up some of it and the remaining oxidized.... If it works after cleaning it, don't sweat it.

I just picked up my Hana Modz Mini V2.1 which has a redesigned back cover which opens under the drip well so no juice can leak into the mod. I also emailed Hana modz to see if the mini can be used as a pass-thru as it's not stated on the specs and they said that, it can be used with USB pass-thru. Keep in mind that their site info hasn't even been updated because they don't even list the mini v2.1.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, it's probably residual juice. Or more likely, leftover Iso Alcohol. Because the previous owner stated that's how they cleaned it. So could have leaked down the crack of the back door and the main body. But it does in fact work, so I'm not sweating it. Thanks! :toast:

Hana Modz was aware of the leaking from the atty that's why they've redesigned the latest version.
