I've seen the V1 and I was told I now own a V2. I don't see the difference. Anyone have some pics of a V1 & V2?

Hey DB. The V1 is fully squared off while the V2 has more rounded edges, along with a deeper drip well (and cool color options, I believe).

The differences are subtle though, so it's tough to see in pics unless you're looking for it.

Someone will probably post before I'm back near my PC (tomorrow), but I'll post then if not.

I'll post a pic when I get home. The back plate no longer opens all the way up to the drip well. It stops underneath it so it stays intact so there is no longer any cut out for juice to leak in from the drip well.

Btw, this is got to be one of the best designed DNA20 box mods I've seen. Especially with the recessed drip well so any device sits flush on the mod. Can't wait until my nano kit arrives for my kayfun clone. Will make this setup much smaller.

That kind of makes the chemical treatment option obsolete, yes? And I like that change (didn't know about it previously).

Yet ANOTHER reason...

Yeah that chemical treatment is pretty much not needed but not sure if it's still there. I didn't completely open it up. I'm sure you won't have a problem selling your V1 for around $225. It's still a good mod.

Thanks Strike, but I'd put it up for less that, If I go that route. I'll be thinking about it for a bit....

Much appreciated Strike. That is a very welcomed and much needed change in my book. It's getting more and more perfect with each update. I see they have chosen to go the Apple route and slowly produce updates as opposed to making it perfect the first time. Totally kidding! Now all they need is a hole drilled for the charging light & I think it would be perfect, or damn near. :)

My gripe, and only one, is the cheap 510 connector used. The whole mod is otherwise well done.
Maybe I should explain a little, it's brass threads and I'm screwing ss into it and the positive post can be spun by the Phillips head of a Kayfun although that should not be to bad to repair.

The threads on mine dont look like brass. It's all silver. Maybe SS?

Nickel plated brass....
Just checked, for sure brass
Not bad on the electrical side though.
One just needs to take a little more care when screwing in a heavy atomizer

how is the battery life on the mini? with the battery pack, compaired to the 18650 version...

So far it's been 24 hours off the charger and my battery is only a quarter down. But I don't vape all the time and I turn it off after every use. I'll really get a better idea during the week while I'm at work as I just got mine yesterday.

I've been lusting after these for a while. I love my ProVari mini to death, but I REALLY want one.

Yeah, I really wanted to spend some good money on a quality high end device and was debating on a few for the last couple of weeks, the provari mini being one of them. This is the Best decision I've made instead of buying a bunch of different mods. After the warranty expires I'm going to buy an extra DNA20 chip just in case it craps out on me.

Best of luck with it, Esse. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

And on a related topic, I had to send my son's in for service because he dropped it which resulted in it not working. Trent was extremely responsive, which was consistent with my previous experiences, and called me immediately when he discovered the issue. As it turns out, it was a VERY small issue, instead of what I was expecting (which was the worst case scenario).

Dan (son) was thrilled that he's getting his mod back without a major expense. I'm thrilled for the same reason.

So my initial temptation of selling my V1 for the next generation, is going to be realized. I want it, and it's very small act of thanks to a guy who's be great to work with since I got these mods, back when he released the initial run.

This cup of coffee is to the fine folks at Hana Modz :toast:
