I was about to throw this piece of junk out until I saw this thread.

I concur with the above recommendation to extract the fluid from the carts and drip it onto the atomiser wick

however, it's hard to do this by hand without getting it on your fingers. If you had a syringe with a sharp needle, you could draw the fluid from one or more carts

I also agree that the stock carts have no nicotine. I got replacement carts which are marked "medium" - so they may be of more use.

WRT the "drag" temperament I have some great info.
1- Take your battery and look at the base of the threads... there are two very small holes that allow air into and up through the center of the part of the battery that goes into the atomizer... I had one of these small holes plugged up when I got min... I used a small wire to unplug it and got a much easier draw resistance ( too light in fact, more on that later)
THANK YOU very much. I neglected my one because of a test with a Janty Mini Fogger and when I returned to it after the Mini Fogger failed, I could not drag it at all. I thought it was dead and done forever, but this unplugging worked like a charm. It still delivers now, cosistently as ever. Not the best cig by far, but nice to use in between their big counterparts.

Lot's of good info on this model in this thread. I'm hoping that mine arrives tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what size battery it takes and/or if there is anywhere I can order replacement batteries... of better quality? I'd really like a usb passthrough that would fit this for when the battery is charging. does anyone know if ANY of the parts are interchangeable with any other models?

It has battery of the size of a Mini Fogger, but not replaceable, because the male part (sticking out) is female in the Fogger. Also there is a lot of BAD things said about Health brand in generalk and this cig in particular. I might have an exemption to the rule. When you use yours, let us know how it went. Just remember to drip on the atomizer instead of using carts to prevent disappointment.

I found no replacements for this cig sold anywhere, but then - the price of the cig is the price of a spare part. In other words, if you like it and something dies after a reasonable amount of time (my has some 6 weeks use in it), buying a new set fo 15 USD shipping included is cheaper than buying a standard batt for a standard cig.
This one: DealExtreme: $27.27 Health Electronic 2*Cigarettes with Chargers and 10-Refills Set is said to be compatible with the one we are talkiiňng about, and is said to have somehow longer battery life between charges. It is also a very slightly cheaper (13,7 USD per one cig, free shipping) But I do not own it, so I cannot say any more.

P.S. TWO holes? Should there be two holes? My cig only has one. And I did look thoroughly:)

I received mine today. I have been at work so I haven't had a chance to test it too much... I had a short break where I took about 3-4 puffs and... it tastes nothing like tobacco... I wouldn't say it tastes horrible and I definitely would not think that this is what cat urine tastes like. The drags were ok, not too much vapor but not too little for me. I will say that I am now having a dry feeling in my throat and have a slight cough. Is this normal for new e-smokers (as this is my first e-cig)?

I'll keep you guys updated on how this works for me.

Right now i'm just using the first cartridge. Can anyone tell me how to safely get the liquid out of the other cartridges and into a dropper bottle? I have no syringe or anything. I'm definitely going to order some liquid but while I wait i'd like to use it from these cartridges.

It is quite normal. Drink water between vaping. Vapour dries your throat. No big deal, but if you do not drink, in the beginning it might get sore.

Well, I only know of methods using syringes, but: The DX liquid really tastes horrible (and is said not to contain any nicotine!). I would recommend buying a different one and trying it with the cig. Much, much, much better that way. If you feel the one you have now is not that bad, than you will achieve a real nirvana with coffee, chocolate or Riskee e-liquid used instead of this one.

Good to hear that the dryness is normal.

I will say that after puffing on it more and more the vapor you get is less and less. And now the taste has changed from what is was before. It tastes a lot worse. Kind of like hot metal which I am assuming is the atomizer getting too hot. I have only had this e-cig package for about 3 hours and the lid to the box is already tearing off.

On a more positive note: the battery was fully charged on delivery and the led lights up right away for me. and I have plugged it in twice since I opened it and the light still glows green to indicate a fully charged battery.

more to come....

OK, if someone could answer this I would be very appreciative: I just noticed a thin silvery foil like part inside the cartridges. It looks like it is covering up where the liquid is stored. Am I supposed to remove this before smoking it??

Because I didn't and maybe that's why it tastes like this... if I'm not supposed to remove it then is it really safe to be inhaling whatever the heck it is?

Thanks very much.

Once I leave work I will try extracting the liquid and dripping but I really don't know how to do it without a syringe. I'm going to probably order the Johnson Creek sample pack tonight.

So.... my battery lasted through about 5 hours of light smoking and then needed to be charged. We'll see how long it really takes to charge it up... Hopefully not long because I was planning on not buying any more traditional cigs from now on.

Don´t! Unless you want to grow some extra limbs or appendages. Let them find what makes their juice go hulk first.

Try this: eBay Seller: liquid--deals: Health Beauty items on eBay.co.uk. He is from the forum, Freddo, and I am not the only one fully satisfied with his products.

LOL! Is JC juice radioactive? I'll take your word for it. I was just looking for somewhere I could buy from that had the option of VG instead of PG and zero nicotine on all flavors (or at least all the good ones). Also, I wanted the option of next-day delivery. But if you say it's going to make me grow a brother out of my side I'll steer clear.

Back to my new e-cig... it says it's fully charged now... it was only charging for about an hour. I'll see if it's being truthful or not...

That's disturbing...

Do you know where I can get quality VG liquid with zero nicotine?

I have noticed that after smoking this Health mini e-cig today my lungs have started to hurt a little. I haven't smoked any traditional cigarettes today, only the e-cig. Is this normal? When I smoke regular cigs I very rarely get a slight pain like I'm having now. Is it going to be the same with the e-cig?

I am not a doctor, so i would not know the answer to the pain. You might be having a slight reaction to the liquid, and also remember that the DX liquid is really bad. For VG with zero nic... Only JC makes it, I think. But you can mix your own VG with LorAnn flavourings and make a nice one yourself.

I also like Absinthe e-liquid a lot:

Food/pharmacy grade glycerin sales in pharmacies, health shops, eBay... Americans do not seem to have any problems getting it.

Thanks for the info Frankie!

I'm now on day 2 of this e-cig. I can say that the taste is pretty bad. Not like cat urine but more like really stale artificial tobacco with an aftertaste of hell.

And the aftertaste lingers in your mouth for a while... god it's bad.

The battery is still working fine. The only problem I've had with it is that it will just stop right in the middle of a drag, even if it's fully charged. LED goes out and everything. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. It's probably happened to me about 4 times so far.

In addition to all that, I don't get a lot of vapor out of this and when I do on rare occasions it hurts my throat.

Also, I just don't feel good when I smoke this. It makes me feel like I'm making myself a little sick actually. I am going to get some e-liquid(or make my own) and clean out a cartridge to use as a mouth piece. We'll see if I feel the same way with different liquid.

On the bright side: I haven't smoked a real cigarette since I got this yesterday.

So I'm on exactly a week of the Health brand e-cig from DX. Not the one that comes with a smoke pack charger, but another one they sell on the site. Sku#18431. Bought it to see if I can even get into the whole e-cigarette thing before I buy a "real" one. And I have to say, I love the concept, but not so much this particular model. I was alright at first, and the cartridges were tolerable. Not great but not too bad. Was getting decent vapor the first few days. Today though, I think it's dying even on a fresh cart. Not much vapor, and a hot burnt taste. Fondled the atomizer a bit, poked it with a toothpick and it started working a little better again. May just need to be cleaned.. needless to say though, do not buy this for anything other than seeing if you want a real e-cig.

Still trying to figure out which one to get, but I will be getting one for sure. Looking at a mini or some sort. Too bad nothing is sold locally except at the overpriced SmokingEverywhere booth at the mall.

Agreed. I wish I could go to the nearest gas station or w/e and buy a quality e-cig and supplies.

As for deciding which one to buy I have heard many good things about the DSE 901 model and there is a great deal on the ultimate starter kit here:
The Smokeless Shop - The Ultimate DSE901b Black Mini Starter Kit
I have also heard some good things about IntelliCig's EVOlution and they have really good prices too.
I'll probably be ordering the DSE901 soon.

wow $18, that is pretty cheap. I wish I knew all the rescources before I finalized an bought. How do you like it?
The $18 one looks exactly like the one I bought:
DealExtreme: $15.75 Electronic Cigarettes with Charger and 6-Refills Set (110V~220V AC)
I am having the same problem with mine as jants13: less vapor than before even with a fresh cart. I don't really have a huge complaint with the performance, especially with such a low price, but the liquid in the carts keeps tasting worse and worse and it's making me feel kind of sickly too. Honestly I don't feel safe inhaling it anymore so, to my shame, I bought a pack of traditional cigs and am not going to smoke on my e-cig until I get different liquid. If you buy this model I would suggest what others have suggested: also buy some good e-liquid and empty out the carts and drip your good liquid on the atomizer to smoke it. I havent tried it yet but I will soon.
