Ok, first of all, my hubby picked up a cig2o at a smokeshop last thursday. He tried it out in the parking lot and had me also try it. I liked it, thought it was kind of neat and bought myself one. In just over a week, I have only smoked 3 packed of cigs-and I used to smoke anywhere from 1-2 packs a day. I actually have not had a cig since Wednesday, and only had 2 then. So I am pretty happy so far!

Now here is my question-where is a good place to buy blank cartomizers from that won't cost a fortune (either in actual price or shipping!) I get to some sites and they all have numbers like 501 etc, and I have NO clue what I would need for the cig2o. From what I have read, it is a rebranded K808 (I know there are more numbers there, but it is late and I am braindead at the moment, sorry!)

I did buy some ejuice from savecig website and I just put it in my used tip that came with the kit, once it was empty. But I would like to start "fresh" while trying other flavors. That one was just clove so I figured it wouldn't make a huge difference.

So can anyone point me in the right direction, or at least tell me what numbers to look for? I have seen a few sites that list the k808, but is there anything else compatible?

Thanks for any help! Btw, I passed the "sniff" test from a coworker the other day-usually she wrinkles up her nose and tells me I stink like cigarettes after my break. So I made her smell me and she couldn't detect anything (she says she is allergic to cigarettes). I was really impressed then-what can I say, its the little things that make me happy!

Welcome to ECF! I'm not very knowledgeable about 808s sorry, but someone here will chime in soon without a doubt!

I will say, scroll down ECF and check out all the vendors. There are tons! Plus their location. Vendors listed on ECF, are listed for a reason all have proven to be trustworthy by ECF standards.

Congrats on the switch. Good luck with completely getting off the analogs! It's such a wonderful freeing feeling.

KR808D-1

SmokelessImage. Bloogplanet, Halocigs G6

Slightly different hotter at the lips cartos at Vapor4Life (I use plastic drip tip as a mouthpiece - not metal!)

or any 2.5 to 3 ohm KR808D-1 cartos (most use close to 2.5)

I can get 7+ days use out of a cartomizer (14+ if I start 2 and alternate vaping them) so I don't mine paying $2 each

I use juices from Vapor4Life. SmokelessImage and other mainly PG juices with 20% or less VG. I keep the cartos damp so they don't singe and I usually use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece so it's easy to remove that to look at the stuffing or add juice.

I avoid juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment (shorten life of a carto)

I only use manual batteries, and on those you can use a DSE901 standard resistance atomizer and drip tip to try new juices. Don't dirty cartos to test juices you may not even like. Manuals are harder to damage or kill with juice leaks, and make it easier to get a good hit.

Welcome charady2

Every thing you need to know is here somewhere. I learn something new from ECF everyday. My suggestion is research and more research. Opinions vary greatly here. I use the three post rule. If I see three different posts recommending a product or a process I take it seriously and then ......you guessed it, do more research lol. People are great here and very supportive so, ask questions and you shall receive.

Just wanted to say thanks for the responses so far :) Need to get myself to bed, 7 am comes way to early-but I will be looking closer at all this info tomorrow night! Definitely going to need to buy some, the 2 that came with it won't last forever. I am also thinking about buying my dad the same little kit we got because he tried my cig and actually liked it too. I am so overwhelmed at all the flavors I want to try! I ordered some mango that should be here hopefully by Monday and that has me pretty excited!

Again, thanks for any and all info! There is so much to learn yet!

Aaah, hi dormouse. That's one person you can count on for answers to almost all of your questions, and there are a lot of other very knowledgeable people here, and of course, everyone has their own opinions, and ways of doing things, and what they prefer, so you can't go wrong here. And very good philosophy, vaprhed. I do not regret any decisions I've made yet thanks to all the advice I've gotten here, whether directly or by just browsing.

Well I am going to have to buy some cartomizers soon! I am ordering a ton of flavors to try-and in the process of converting my dear old dad and my sister to Ecigs :) They are only doing the little kit we bought for 20 bucks but hey, its a start! I have found a flavor I seem to really love though. But I still have to try more! And the funny thing is, I am going to spend half as much money on a month full of liquids then I would spend on 2 weeks of actual cigarettes for myself and hubby! Crazy! That is what is converting my dad over btw, he sees how much cheaper it is (and that my hubby has cut way down and he smokes more than my dad ever did!)

So I need to find a good vendor for the blank cartomizers and quick-I have a feeling they will be mooching juice off of me soon (I should rephrase that, because my sister already did tonight!) Neither of them have internet/computers so I get to do all the buying for them. But my dad needs away from smoking, he has already had 2 heart attacks along with other health issues. Sorry for the long post, I am rambling again!

Your posts are fine. welcome to the forum, this is such a great group. I wish I knew more about the 808. I personally love the 510. Keep researching and reading here and it will all come together. My personal favorite is the Inferno, it is an eGo clone from Volcanoecigs.com. The biggest reason I like the 510 connection is there are so many vendors and all kinds of cartomizers and atomizers and more mods then you can count. Again, welcome.

Well I emailed that company and asked if the signature series are D1 or D2, just to know....but then I saw they have a starter kit of the signature series-5 cartomizers, 2 batteries (78 mm...not sure what I have at all, it was a cheapy set lol) a usb charger and a wall adapter...for just under 27 bucks! Now, hubby and I were going to drive the hour to the nearest smokeshop and each pick up one more set of the cig2o starters at 20 bucks each (so it would be 40 plus tax for a total of 2 batters, 2 usb chargers and 4 cartomizers) but I am thinking I will just buy this set. What do you guys think?

I know hubby wants to just end up quitting all of it...but I have always had the "oral" part of the habit-as a kid I chewed hair, pens, gum, then moved onto cigs lol. So I don't see me quitting anytime soon and someday would like some of the nicer pv's you guys all talk about. But these work for now and have kept me off cigs completely for a week now and I am loving it!

Here is the set if anyone wants to look, can't beat the price for starting out I guess! Signature Series Standard Starter Kit - Starter Kits - Signature Series 808

everyone has been a great help to me! No worries there...and I hope you enjoyed your dinner :)

Hubby works a 12 hour shift at the evil walmart-overnight, so he missed our big family get together :( Hoping to do one next week though!

I do have another question...that site, including their starter kits, are only automatic batteries (which is what I have now, no big deal). however, hubby would like to try the clear cartomizers, which they have on clearance BUT I have read on other sites to not use them with automatic, only manual. So, what is everyone's take on that issue? I mean, they sell them and don't seem to sell manual batteries so one would assume it was ok-except for the fact I have read otherwise! I am so confused. the more I read, the more confused I get!
