I think there are more possibilities for growth with something with 510 threading, like a Joye 510, almost the size of an analog, an eGo, about the size of a sharpie marker. And many others. These are the ones I have, the eGo being a passthrough, you can vape while it charges or unplug it and vape. Here you can get it for $16.99, without cartos or juice, so you would need them.

eGo 510 650mAh USB Passthrough Battery

They also have good prices on cartos, and you get a free bottle of juice with every 5-pack of cartos. (in case anyone is wondering, I'm not plugging these for the discount, just passing on a good deal).
Just what I'm happy with, and everyone has different likes and dislikes.

You should just pick up am manual battery elswhere. One reason not to use one on an auto battery is because there is more of a chance of juice leakage. The auto batteries usually have a hole at the connection. If juice gets in there it is dead. A manual is really much more enjoyable. I look around to see what I can find.

everyone has been a great help to me! No worries there...and I hope you enjoyed your dinner :)

Hubby works a 12 hour shift at the evil walmart-overnight, so he missed our big family get together :( Hoping to do one next week though!

I do have another question...that site, including their starter kits, are only automatic batteries (which is what I have now, no big deal). however, hubby would like to try the clear cartomizers, which they have on clearance BUT I have read on other sites to not use them with automatic, only manual. So, what is everyone's take on that issue? I mean, they sell them and don't seem to sell manual batteries so one would assume it was ok-except for the fact I have read otherwise! I am so confused. the more I read, the more confused I get!

One reason most people don't recommend autos is because the battery is not sealed, so topping off a carto can sometimes lead to overfilling, which gets the battery wet, then chances are you have a paperweight (I did this to one, and now it sits on my desk to remind me to take it off the battery on my 510 and make sure it's dry before I put it back). The Manual batteries are sealed, so it's almost impossible to get juice inside.
Another reason is you can regulate your hit better, a lot of people will hold the button a second or two before they hit it, creating more vapor and a warmer hit. I do that with my eGo, and it's a much better hit than the 510 auto I have. Just what I've experienced so far, others may have a better explanation, or correct me if I missed something. :)

Oh, and the cartos are interchangeable between the two, 510 and eGo, just FYI.

KR808D-1 Here is a link to the Kr808 thread. You should be able to find you answers there. I started my mom with a Kr808 and now after a year she uses an ego battery. You have a wonderful start with what you have now and I do believe there are new generation auto batteries that are seal and juice leak resistant on the volt site.

Ok, the eGo battery...I found a kit for it for 38 bucks. But those require an atomizer separately? Right now I am so lost on how everything works, that my simple lil guy works great-2 pieces, easy peasy! I may not be able to "splurge" on anything better until tax time unfortunately. But this is all I know and it works great so far.

I am very very careful about filling my cartomizers back up, letting them sit so extra fluid can drain out, wiping them out really well in the threading, etc. because I read they can die easily. I do eventually want something better, and one kit isn't so bad-the problem being I would have to buy 2 so the ol' man can have the same thing lol.

Decisions decisions!!!

Ok...The good thing about the ego is you dont have to use an atomizer...pick you up a pack of empty boge cartos. Let me get a picture of the difference in the carto battery connectors.
Cartomizers : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail--

All those cartos in this picture can be used on an ego.....but #4,5(maybe)and18 and 19. The 510 is a male connector and the kr808 is a female connector. In the picture the large black ones have a male connector under that screws on the ego.

One more thing to consider. An ego vapes at 3.2 to 3.7 volts. The higher volt gives more vapor, throat hit and taste. This is my opinion though. The vape is alot stronger than the kr808. You will find it more closely resembles the throat hit you get from a cigarette. Thus making it satisfy you more.
Either way you want to go...you have made the right choice. So congrats once again on your e-cig! You will soon find how bad smokers smell. I know I do and thing ..wow I used to smell like that. I can still go out with the smokers at work and vape...no problems at all...in fact I now find I move out of the way of thier smoke without even thinking about it.

Now that pic looks awesome! Kind of intimidating at the same time though!

Nope ...I had my mom here for Thankgiving and gave one to her. She is now sporting an ego that looks like that and she is in her 70's. All that consists of is a poly tube with two food safe rubber gromets on each end and a carto with a hole punched in it. Works really well and very cheap. Of course I will not get into all the other stuff I got because I dont want to overwhelm you..lol.

The husband still smokes around me. If he lights up while I am in the room, yeah it stinks but I can stand it. However, if I am in another room when he lights up, or if I come inside and he is smoking, OMG!!! It smells horrid. And then at thanksgiving, I was around 5 other smokers. ugh. No wonder I didn't have much of an appetite. And even just a quick kiss goodbye when I leave for work after hubby has a smoke is bad. Luckily he says he isn't buying anymore cigarettes at our next trip to the smokeshop (promised dad we would buy him his cigs one last time lol). And he gave me an extra 20 to pick him up the same cheapy ecig we have.

The plan was to buy us each another 20 dollar kit-but seeing how I can get that other starter kit for 27, I may just see if hubby wants to buy 2 of those instead (heck, even one kit would give us each a second battery cheaper than the ones we bought!)

You are more than welcome, glad we could be of assistance.
That's great, both of you trying them. You will have a partner, but you're tastes will be different, will like different PV's, different flavors, but that's the good thing (IMO) about this, so many choices (well, could be bad ;)) that everyone can get what is best for them. And of course you can get twice as many different flavors, you can swap and if you don't like something, he may, and vice-versa. Good luck and keep us informed on how you like them, and your progress :)

Hello again. Congrats on your purchase. Since you are the one that started with the e-cigs...you should set some milestones and as you pass them treat yourself with something new. That will get you hubby more interested and the more interested the better he will stay away from the smokes. I am Thankful my hubby never smoked.
