Hello all,

I'm new to the vape scene and wanted some opinions from some of you veterans out there that have experience with these products. I've just purchased a iGO e cig from ivape.net, (link here - http://ivape.net/index.php/DSE-Ego-Black.html ) but can't find much info on the product outside of the ivape.net website.

I chose ivape.net, and the iGO starter kit, based off a friend's recommendation. I also purchased a few different cartomizers for use with this e cig, as well as a bunch of different flavors!

I've not received the kit as of yet but am anxious to get it and quit smoking these death sticks! Any reviews/opinions/pictures would be greatly appreciated!

These are just typical eGo-style unregulated batteries. Since they're unregulated, they'll start out at higher voltage and slowly lower. Which is both good and bad. Depends. They're perfectly decent batteries though.

But, it only comes with one atomizer? At least, that'll come in handy for testing all your new juices before you commit a clearo or carto to one.

Good luck with your new adventure!

Thanks for the quick response and additional info. Glad my friend steered me in the right directions, at least for now. Eventually, like all other things I purchase, I'm sure I will mod and play around with different configurations!

Another question, I ordered a lr coil for each of the cartos I bought based off a vaping chart I found somewhere online. From what I understand the lr 1.5-2.0 ohm coils will work better with this battery as it is 3.2-3.7volts? Is that correct?

The website shows its a 650 mAh battery...you should roughly get almost 6 hours out of it before it needs charged. 100 mAh = 1 hour use (+/-) I just scanned the page...do you get both Batteries, or just one? If it's just one, you'll probably want to look into another battery for while the one is charging.

You've made the first step...Congrats!!!!!

Never mind...just went back and looked...its for 2...so that's good!

Late on down the road, you may want to look into a Variable Voltage battery..where you can adjust from 3.3-4.8...at least on the Vision Spinners...some juices just taste better at a higher Voltage..some at a lower one. For me, anything under 4.0 and I just do not get a throat hit...thats me though.

That is true... The LR atomizers will work better with that battery. You will get more vapor and throat hit (TH).

As far as the kit you ordered... this is certainly a good starting point (it is where I started). It will give you a feel for vaping and will do a good job at keeping you off the analogs. However, for most (including myself), this type of battery will only last a couple months before you start looking at the larger mods (Provari, Vamo, iTaste SVD). Once you get to that point, peruse the forum here and check out some of Grimm Green and PBusardo's reviews. Grimm actually has a good "Ego to Mod" advice video that has a lot of useful information that might be helpful. Good luck, congrats and welcome to ECF!!

This is why I ordered the lr coils for the cartos I purchased, hopefully it will have enough throat hit to get me off these camels!

Great, thank you as well! I will definitely continue to research as I progress, it seems like this may become a new obsession-like-hobby of mine. Oh well, one more cant hurt!

I thought I read where igos have proprietary threading. I may be wrong. 650 mAh is weak by today's standards.

If you want something in that same size category, I would look at the variable wattage (VW) iTaste V3. Actually it's probably a little smaller but is VW, so that would be a definite plus.

Looks like a good place to start.

Welcome to ECF and to vaping.

Thanks very much!

According to the website the iGo works with both 510 and eGo threading. As for the voltage, I will try and make up for that by using lr coils in my cartos and clearos, which should suffice as my first e cig. Unfortunately I've already made my purchase and have confirmed shipping info, so buying a VV batt will have to wait. I bookmarked the link though for future reference. Thank you.
