Okay been smoking the stupid cigarette for too long now time to quit.So What do I get ?

Confused here.

I was looking for a cigarette the same size of a regular cigarette.
Do I buy the started kit ?
Which ecig brand correspond to let's say...Marlboro brand in quality ?
What's the average battery life ? 1 day a week ?
I also want tons of mist ? Smoke/vapor,sorry I don't know the proper lingo for that.Well tons of smoke.

Any help would be appreciate.:toast:

Thanks

Welcome to the vaping world! My advice would be to buy yourself a starter kit of the Joye 510 model. Get a few flavors from a vendor of your choice. A lot of people starting out seem to enjoy the 510's. They are approximately the same size of a real cig and perform quite well. After you learn more and more you may decide to upgrade to a tank system!

Here's a link for ya!

Most reccomend The Volt for a cigarette type model Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt - Standard Starter Kit - Starter Kits

Average lifetime of a battery, I'm not sure about, but they don't stay charged too long, a couple of hours or so before you are charging them again. If you want something that tastes like a Marlboro you aren't going to find it. Nothing is going to taste exactly like burning paper and dried out tobacco leaves. More informed people than I will be along shortly I'm sure to offer more advise for a good start up kit.

I have a 510 mega manual battery with clearomizer for pocket use and stealth vaping. The rest of the time I use an ego-c.
I am considering either buying or building a mod soon...

I have been very happy with my joyetech stuff, it has been simple to use and hassle free. That's just my two cents worth ;)

:toast: Here here!

I am about a week in to the e-cig thing. I had to stop the smokes and wasn't sure if this was for me or not. Just to see if I liked it or not, I got some of the BLU disposables from Walgreen's. They were decent. I knew I wanted decent battery life, so i went with something a little bit bigger. A KGO (which is the battery) Starter Kit. I am loving the kit and there is tons of helpful information here for you as you research. The smaller ones will have a smaller battery life and less room for fluid. If you will be using it much, a bigger battery is helpful.

Elite Vaporworks KGO Starter Kit with Boge LR Cartomizers - KGO

Also, do read the InfoZone documents on this site to get started. I had no idea that you smoked an e-cig different than the analog at first. It does make a big difference.

If I had a nickle for everytime I read that...the answer is yes. I won't try to convience you that its not the best route because that how I started over $900 ago:facepalm: but you need to make that journey yourself and learn what you like best. The best of luck to you. :thumb:

Interesting find, kind of like an ego-c yet small like a regular analog, and made by joyetech, looks like it is their newest product as I've not seen anything about it yet on the forum. It is called the eCab Joyetech Joye eCab Changeable Atomizer Battery Kits

This is a new product not sure if any vendors hve it in stock just yet. Was shown as a possible in GV forum, if there are people interested in it they will stock it. :)

You neglected to tell him that he will only get an hour, maybe two on a battery charge and will have to buy many batteries to use the mini-510 and be constantly changing batteries. Why not give a new person the full story???

If you really want to make vaping work and less hassle and cost, then get a model with at least a 700 mAh battery. The Joye 510's battery is 90 - 180 mAh. The ones I recommend for a new person are the size of a sharpie pen and come with 1000+ mAh batteries that will give you about 6 - 8 hours on a charge. I would stay clear of the eGo because it has the smallest voltage battery on the market at only 3.4 volts. I would look at these:

Kgo 510: http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.browse&category_id=31

E-Power 510: http://www.madvapes.com/E-Power-Replacable-Battery-kit_p_2952.html

Since you smoke Marlboro, I would recommend getting eliquid in the 24mg nicotine strength as most need around this level to transition to vaping. You can always lower the nic level but you can't make it stronger.

If you must try a mini-model, then look at the Volt. It's the best of the mini's but the battery life is poor.

Good Luck

Smokelessimage has a sale now. Use the code HAPPYBIRTHDAYIMAGINE for a 30% discount on their already good prices.
BLANKETY-blank DURN! I just bought $150 of stuff from them last week! (Graduation present for one person, bribe for my sister)

I'm probably about 2 months "ahead of" the O.P., and still smoking but trending away from real cigs fast.

I know everybody likes the 510's but I prefer SmokelessImage and Bloog with Bloog cartomizers. I suggest ordering 2 batteries, 1 usb charger, and 1 of the heavy-duty wall adapters (the 1.5 amp, not the .5 amp!) and a flavor variety-pack from Smokeless image, and 1-2 flavor variety packs from Bloog. Once you know which of those flavors you like, you can ask for more juice advice here. You will quickly realize you will want to refill cartomizers a few times each.

In a couple of months at the most, you'll want to go to a bigger battery. I also hear tell you'll want to try cleaner delivery systems like clearomizers or tanks, but IMO that can wait until you've found your flavor. Smokeless Image also has a bigger battery that is compatible with their small ones.

Their 78MM (and 68mm) cigarette-sized batteries are voltage-regulated so once you find your flavor and carto resistance, you get steady results, from straight-off-the-charger to nearly-discharged. Same goes for their bigger (X2) long-life batteries.

I get my best vape (lots of flavor and vapor) from Volt or X2 batteries with Bloog cartomizers.

If you read here long, you will see that there are two main surviving "thread types" for e-cigs, and another 3-4 almost-popular ones. 510's and 808 (kr808d-1) are the main ones, with 510 the most-popular by far and therefore the easiest to get a variety of things for.

But I like the Volts which are "808"s.
1. The "channel" at the bottom is easier to get extra juice out of than on a 510.
2. The cartos can stand on end without tipping over.
3. There are also voltage-regulated and controllable-voltage 510's, but 808 Volts
and X2's from Smokeless Image have been robust and voltage-regulated for awhile,
and their customer service is great. Bloog 808 batteries appear to have similar
specs but I haven't used one for very long.

High-voltage vs low-voltage does not matter BY ITSELF, it is watts that matter, and that is (volts X volts)/resistance. Voltage and the resistance MUST be compatible for battery safety (you can actually get hurt from abusing a battery too-severely.) You can find charts and articles on this. I like the Bloog cartos because they are a teensy teensy bit lower-resistance and give me great vapor on the 3.6-volt batteries.

I gave a friend of mine a volt battery (from Smokeless Image) and some sweet juices (cheesecake flavor, etc).

He liked the amount of vapor but said he needed something that tasted like his brand of cigaretts (camel). So we ordered a turkish blend from Smokeless image and he said it came close to the real thing. Maybe one of their tobacco flavors come close to Marlborro? Sorry I can't be of better help... I'm pretty new.

I switched to vaping about 1 1/2 years ago and wished I had someone to guide me through the thousands of choices. I started with the "Safecig", then moved to an EGO-T, and now I'm using a variable voltage vaporlux with a Bulli Smoker A2 tank rebuildable atomizer. You can spend a ton of money finding the right mix of e-cig mod, atomizer/cartomizers/ and Juice.

Believe it or not, the Safecig was the closest tasting to a real cigarette. What I did not like was the short battery life (1-2 hours) and the long draw required to get a decent amount of vapor. Also, the cartomizers used did not last very long and you would eventually get a burnt taste when the juice ran dry and the interior filler started to burn. I think you'll have that problem with all cigarette type vaporizors.

Next I moved to the Ego-T and I have to say I was quite impressed and stayed with it for several months. The 600 mah battery would last half a day, it was still very portable, and I liked that there was no filler to burn. The vapor production was very good, but the performance would degrade as you vaped on it because the coils would gunk up from the e-liquid. They were very difficult to clean and maintain. To replace the atomizers became expensive, about $8-10 a pop. They would last about 3 weeks unless you continually cleaned them and changed the wicks. They now have ego-c tanks that provide replacement coils and wicks but they are still expensive.

Finally, I settled on a variable voltage mod, where you can change the voltage to get more vapor and better throat hit for different e-juices. The battery last 1-2 days without being recharged. For my atomizer I purchased a Bulli Smoker A2 Tank rebuildable. It was expensive up front but it only cost pennies to replace the coils and wicks and keep your unit functioning like new.

If your like everyone else who vapes, you'll find that you'll want to try several different types. If I had to do it over again, I would have went straight to my current set-up and saved alot of money. Vaping is cheaper than smoking, but you have alot of toys tempting you to spend more.

Good Luck!!

great post.

If you want to try some other delivery systems, check out the phoenix (ce3). I prefer the bottom coil ones. As much as I like the Smokeless image cartos, these are even better. I have a couple of videos on youtube showing them on a volt battery
