Hi my names Nico. I've been analog-less since Jan 18 2013 after 12 years smoking a pack every 3 days. I started with a Joye eRoll cause of its size and look and i feel was perfect for the initial transition. The following month i purchased a eCab. Again great experience. increased flavor, vape, battery life from the eroll and size still reminded me of a small cigar. A month later purchased an eGo-C with mini nova and by golly i think we're getting there. Awesome vape and flavor, fantastic battery life. Im the type of guy that does alot of research and gets the Cadillac of gadgets. There is just waaay too many products to know where to start. I need help to figure out my next step. I want something the will just blow me out the water with flavor and vape performance. Not so much for home but more for on the go so it has to be pocket sized and have some style to it. I was looking @ TW Odyssey. i really like how it has a glass tank to handle hardcore juices because like everyone else im trying to hunt down some Pluid. Also it has a nice clean look and uses carts which ive never experienced yet. BUT on the other hand im itching to get something that is variable voltage. Any advice/opinions is much appreciated. Thanks.

WELCOME to ECF, and congratulations on giving up cigarettes.

There are so many options these days for PV's, it is really hard to recommend a device. Are you willing to spend money and buy one that will last you a long time, or would you rather experiment and buy a lot of different ones to find your fit before you go for the quality? You say you want the Cadillac, but are you wanting a box or a tube? If you want a tube the "cadillac" of which you speak is most likely going to be the ProVari as it is a product of the USA. If it is a box, a REO also a product of the USA. Both are warrantied well and supported after warranty with inexpensive repair should you need it.

I have tried a lot of them, and settled on the REO because I like the bottom feed. It took me a long time and a lot of devices to figure that out though! I still use my ProVari, and my Vamo is great too (but if I take the Vamo out of the house and drop it on concrete it may break and then be parts, while the ProVari won't break and if it does is repairable). I don't use the disposable battery types anymore (ego's etc.), I use the ones you keep the unit and replace the battery. IMHO, those are the cadillacs but YMMV. It is all so very personal!

If you want cartotanks though, I would suggest IBTanked.com. OCD is the member here who makes them, and he has reasonable prices along with just being a downright good guy to deal with. Since you are in Sacramento, it would get there quick as he is near Bakersfield.

ETA: they Odyssey is UK, and so you would be dealing with them for warranty. Just something to think about.

Awesome i was just checking ProVari mini before i saw your reply. I was thinking more of the Tube style. I want a long lasting device with quality. Price isnt too much of a factor if it results in performance. I havent read anything on Vamo yet. Also are there any glass tanks out there that can handle potent juices? Thanks for your response!!

Odyssey is a sleek system. I have one but find I never use it because (this is a stupid reason) I have to lay it flat rather than on its end. The carto tank is awesome and I use it constantly when I'm not using my RBA's. if I had to do it over I wouldn't get the battery section and only get the tank. It looks nice on a provari and Ego battery with the plinth. It's very durable and solid construction. TW also has a store in Florida so US orders go through them as well as Customer service.

My personal best is a provari with a Zenesis atomizer.

i started just a bit ago with ego 1000mah usb passthrough and smokDCC and was thinking that it was great.. i quickly got the itch to by a tube mod and after watching tons of GrimmGreen videos. picked up the Vamo and Ce4 clearomizers and now i have hard time going back to the ego batt if my 18350 batteries die on me. the flavor and vapor production were much better and more consistent even with the smokDCC. sometimes the Ce4 dry hit and its a bit annoying but a little twist and twirl we are back in business.

IBTanked are all borosilicate, aka pyrex so can handle the acidic juices. His will include the "thingy" and a carto tool is only $2. Others also make nice ones, but his prices are very reasonable. I have several tanks, some I paid a lot more for but they all do the same thing - they hold a carto and keep it wet. CE's or other clearos are not going to work for you, they are plastic.

Get a Provari if you want the Cadillac of variable voltage PV's. Dependable, consistant, ruggedly durable. Provape will service them even when out of warranty, unlike the Chinese mods (which is just about all the rest).

I also recommend the pyrex IBTanked cartotanks. I have seven. IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

Another recommended cartotank is the Big Daddy tanks from Big Daddy Vapor. Big Daddy 5ml Tanks & Tubes : Big Daddy Vapor

Anodized aluminum (in almost any color) with a polypropylene (safe with volatile flavors) juice window.

A Provari with a phiniac tank or big daddy tank will handle any juice and give you an amazing vape with longevity for sure
