Hi, I’m new here, have been vaping about 8 years after about 30 years of smoking. My pulmonary specialist diagnosed me with asthma about 5 years ago, every visit the ct scans didn’t change much. But this time she said are you coughing, out of breath?
Yes, this cat scan shows pulmonary fibrosis on the top of my lungs, which she said is unusual. She said the disease normally starts at the bottom. I asked her about whether or not vaping could cause. She said if you could stop and another scan in 6 months. I’ve used to same juice forever, so I’m pretty scared. I also am on methotrexate which may also cause fibrosis. Stopping, and hoping in 6 months it will be better, scary.

Obligatory—don't expect sound medical advice from unqualified internet people. I don't know what the heck your condition is or what your prescription drug is supposed to do.

But since I assume you already know that, here's my take. If you ask your doctor a question like that, she's pretty much obligated to tell you to stop so she can test the result and compare. And if that means going back to smoking you ought to think twice about it because those things are proven to kill. If you can quit cold turkey, then you don't need to vape anyway and may as well lay off.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Vaping is not for everyone, suggest obeying your doctor.

Welcome.

I have no idea if it's vaping and also no idea why you joined a vaping forum to say you are stopping? I'm not trying to be mean here, it's just that well, we can't be much help. Like, join some sort of lung support forum?

All I can say is if you have to stop for 6 months: Snus. It will not harm your lungs. It is considered safer than vaping.

Good luck.
