So I'm pretty sick and tired of all the false accusations of electronic cigarettes or PV's and it's time we all started something. This is not only for people in new jersey.
All of the reasons they are slowly banning PV's are crazy. Propylene glycol is in smoke machines they shoot in little kids faces at Disneyland and what they send firefighters through training in? Are kids and firefighters not important but the people who actually choose to use PV's because WE WANT TO aren't allowed. There is so much research out there on vaping and I want more! This site alone has so many people on it and we all help eachother out. There has to be doctors on here that vape and can perform tests. They say they don't know the long term effects, well do what they do with anything else to see long term effects. Test it on rats! Rats exposed to cancerous material grow tumors at an impeccable rate so test, it show the facts! They also talk about triglycerides which are in tons of food. They talk about second hand smoke which does not occur with vapor. They have it ingrained in their head that nicotine is cancerous yet it is no more harmful then caffeine. Are they shutting down dunkin donuts around the world? NO. They say it's a environmental hazard. How? batteries can be recycled properly, liquid can be recycled properly. Computer and most electronics for that matter are super hazardous for the environment (my dad is a electronics recycler) and yet so many people have no clue and throw their old junk in the trash when it NEEDS to be recycled. Ohhhh but it's ok to have cigarette butts everyyyyyywhereeee which take years and years to decompose (not sure if they even do) let alone tons of household and forest fires that have been brought on by cigarettes. Please I know there are more facts that are out there and more facts that can be discovered. We all need to work as a team. With so many people in this ecf community there has to be newspaper writers, doctors, lawyers, people involved in politics, chemists, and everyday people. We can do this! Let's stop talking about it and make a change. We need to keep adding facts and discussing our next actions.

I don't see any health hazards on artificial sweetener and that has been linked many times to cause cancer yet they are still on the shelves at every food store. People are trying to be healthier and they're just killing themselves. Nicolette gum is just as appealing to kids as eliquid is. They have fruity flavors and all. Sold at local pharmacies allll over and behind the register rights in the eyes of everyone checking out. Don't see them mentioning anything about that... It's all pathetic. We need to do something. It's possible with proper research we can make a difference and save lives people.

The safety of a product depends upon how deep the pockets are and how ignorant the majority of the population remains. They will benefit from it until enough people finally start resisting the lies and misinformation.

Exactly what he said.

If vaping was in some way lining the pockets of politicians by way of big business, vaping would be portrayed as the clean , healthy , environmentally safe new wave of " safe smoking" that it is. There are videos out there that show the tests done on vaping that state that nicotine is identical to caffine and is simply a stimulant. They go on to say that vaping is 100 x safer then smoking and is a very wise alternative tot hose wanting and needing their nicotine fix. Some even go on to point out that we have ZERO nicotine product for those who just want to enjoy the flavor and the joy of vaping.

However, the cigarette industry has already done the damage of marketing and selling addictive products that have killed , and continues to kill countless people each day. So anything that resembles " smoking" , such as our beloved vaping, will be deemed just as dangerous until proven otherwise. And these days, there are more non-smokers than smokers , so any fight for vaping in public is going to take some powerful people to back it. Problem is, I highly doubt that ANYONE in power is going to take that stand and point out the HUGE advantages of vaping over smoking.

Chris Christie and Obama alike could have both had their personal physicians do extensive long term testing on vaping and based on positive results.... have a Darwin in their helicopters, a Provari in their breifcases and be regular customers of an ECF vendor. For all we know, Chris Christie is in his office filling up his DC Tank with Bobas Bounty as we speak !....But is either one of them gonna stand up and support it ?..... not a chance my friend.

I'm all for saving more lives. I have turned several people on to vaping and even find myself at convenience stores watching someone pay 7 or 8 dollars for a pack of smokes, and when they whine about the price I chime in and say " I have 2 words for you ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES "

True Story..... The other day this happenned and it was a woman in her 70's who's voice and cough was a result of smoking Camels for many years. She .....ed about the price of smokes with 4 packs in her hand saying she had to get home to her hubby who was out of smokes and sent her to the store. She coughed once more and handed over 30 some odd dollars. I told her about ecigs and where she could get them, she said she has no computer, so I sent her to the mall up the road to get a starter kit where I got mine. She smiled, thanked and patted my arm and said she was going right over to get one cause she's worried about her hubby's health. All I could picture was an elderly gent in a chair at home, jingling change in his pocket and about 2 steps away from needing an O2 tank by his side..... but visciously addicted to his camels.

I cant say I have put a great deal of thought into this, but I kind of like vaping right where it is right now. Its a community vibe. Sure, let the community grow and grow.... Im all for that. But once this gets in the hands of big business and they start regulating this and that , taxing everything, sales volumes go up, taxes are in place.. Yikes. Then quality goes way down cause every good mom and pop juice maker who delivers high quality and has survived the harsh critisism of ECF is flushed out and cant survive any longer because a subsidiary company of Winston and Co now has juice and batteries behind every store counter across the land.....

I want everyone to know about vaping and to make the switch cause its made a huge difference in my life in 3 months. But I dont look forward to big bizz stepping in and dictating the path its going to take, and its bound to happen at some point.

Just my humble opinion.

Actually it is Senator Lautenburg in New Jersey rather than Governor Christie that has been the big thorn in our side. Remember the Pharma Companies based in N.J. are big campaign contributers. Lautenburg pushed the banning of ecigs on airplanes and has been instrumental in pushing the FDA to promulgate ecig regulations. Since Christie has been stigmatized because of his weight, maybe he might have sympathy for us!

And yet we keep voting for him! How many years has it been? I am almost ready to give up on NJ. The nanny mentality. I have been told you can't vape in your car if children are with you, which means anyone under 18. The e cigwill be attacked very soon. Just one more thing they can tax. I finally found a way to quit smoking so now it will become unaffordable. What a shame.!!

Plain nicotine is e-liquid. In other words, it's diluted too and YES, it will be taxed if Gov. gets its way. The best you can buy (I think) is 100mg/ml and that's 10% diluted either in PG or VG or both. So that's e-liquid and it is most likely going to be taxed too. What is different between this eliquid and what you get in the for vaping (before mixing) is that it is flavorless and stronger (wear rubber gloves and eye protection and don't get any on your skin) while that which you buy to vape is diluted much more...6-24mg per ml or .6 to 2.4% and flavors are added. Pure nicotine is going to be a solution of 1000mg/ml...

Well, actually not true- those are classified as Nic cessation products and are under Pharma control- not Tobacco control. That which is not controlled but will be considered "tobacco products," is what we have to keep an eye on. In 2009, the FDA lost it's battle in federal court, trying to place e-cigs and other non-controlled nicotine products under Pharm.

The number one reason Senator Lautenberg has fought to impede the use of e-cigs is one major fact. PHIZER Pharm has a huge factory in North Jersey which employs hundreds or thousands of New Jerseyans. The director of Public Health for the State of NJ is unavailable before the main vote was passed as he was handling the distribution of flu vaccinations. Many of us tried to obtain a meeting prior to the "send the e-cig users to the smoking section" law was placed on the floor of the Senate. Phizer makes chantix (the suicide drug IMHO) and other NRT drgs. Money talks and all the research in the world will not change the minds as our economy is calling the next election. JOBS..............they will say..........JOBS! I have personally spoken to Senator Lautenbergs staff to voice my opinion amd sent every known article, research paper, DR supporting papers and it has been of no avail. Big Pharma and Big Tobacco run the economic power of our country. JMHO and my 2 cents worth.
