Anybody have any thoughts on the ceramic coating inside the tank? I haven't seen any other tank that has ceramic inside and I'm wondering if it'll react to anything in juice.
Ceramic is nonreactive. They actually make ceramic wicks. They aren't glazed like the tank, but it won't hurt you.

It is for charging and can be used as a pass through. So they say. The chips in this range haven't done so well when it comes to charging and pass through (SMOK?). If Kanger pulls that off, it is a coup over the competition. Currently, I'd charge batteries in a dedicated charger for any of these small box mods no matter what they say.
Kanger says that they are using a proprietary Kanger chip so if they put as much thought into it as the subtanks (and user input) then it will be great.

I just noticed it comes with a USB cable, is that for charging? Or only for updates? It would be nice to plug and charge so I don't have to constantly pull my battery out and carry around a bulky 18650 charger.
It is for charging and passthrough vaping. You will only need your bulky charger for your backup-backup batteries.

This device will not support passthrough. It will support vaping and charging, meaning you can fire the mod, it will momentarily stop charging and use the battery. Big difference. People mistakenly claim devices have passthrough all the time though, when they do not. True USB passthrough would be quite pointless on a 50W mod honestly, most USB power supplies are only 1 to 2A.

Interesting. I wonder how much it will charge if I'm chain vaping. Or how many minutes of charge equals a 5 second puff.

Technically, you're correct. But passthrough has come to mean the ability to vape it while it's charging. Some mods don't even do that. When plugged in, they won't allow you to vape. So, it's easier to just say it has passthrough then to say it allows you to vape while charging.

Not sure, I never pay attention that closely. Rarely use USB charging.

I do not accept that.

I do not accept that.

That won't change people from using it that way. I don't accept the term e-cig (and never use it), but lots of people do. My non-acceptance of the term is not going to change things (and either is yours).

You will have to buy batteries but it has passthrough charging and vaping. For a full setup less than $60 spending $15-20 on batteries isn't that bad. Most of us either already have the 18650s or would have bought them anyway.

Only seeing them preorder for $75+. I do already have batteries and a charger but its being marketed as a starter kit. I wouldn't want to use the on board charger which to me would probably be inferior to an actual charger. So after purchasing a couple of batteries and a charger it makes for a very expensive starter kit for $110 bucks or more. Would love to have the mod without the whole kit thing though.

58 dollars and free shipping at vape street. 10 bucks for a battery and it comes with a USB charger. Not a bad price for a sub ohm starter kit.

Yeah, I realize that. Doesn't mean I'll use the term incorrectly though, or stop pointing out its incorrect usage.

At least e-cig is a correct term, while I agree its not a very good one, its generally being used correctly. If somebody was referring to a crack pipe as an e-cig, and you corrected them and said "No sir, that is not an e-cig, its a crack pipe". That would be more like saying this device has USB passthrough.

Oh thank god. I was starting to do too much research into food-safe blackening of SS. Now I can just buy a black ST instead of going DIY. Some black o-rings, a smoked glass tank, aw yeah we pimpin'.

The mod looks cool too. I know Kanger is new-ish to the power scene, but I've heard no complaints of their EVOD and EMOW mods, the KBox seems to be a reliable utilitarian piece, and they have the track record of making good atomizers. Unless the mod or chipset does some ......ed things, I'll probably pick up the whole set, and at the very least the mod can be a backup for the purse.

I'm curious about this too. What about when the coating flakes off and there is potential for inhalation?

Just preordered both black and white from kanger site and requested an ETA. Will report back when I hear.
Too bad I didn't look at the latest posts before I bought. Coulda saved 50-60 buckaroos. Oh well, I just can't wait to see the (juice) suckers in action!!!

If the coating were to flake off it would just stay in your tank. Your liquid filters through your wick
