Yeah, I use the .5ohm coil head. Probably should have specified.Start at 25W? I had a fully soaked 1.2 ohm pre-built vertical coil that completely fried when I got it up to 20W. What are you vaping that you can start out at 25W on a pre-built coil? Maybe it was a 0.05 ohm coil? There more cotton in those.
I seen them advertised, but unsure where right this second. As I'm a MTL "Tootle Puffer" vaper...I have found the "perfect" topper with the GS Tank (with 1.2Ω Organic Cotton Dual Coils).
Thus I have NO need for the "SUBTANK Mini" topper in the SUBOX Kit.
Does any site have for sale the "KBOX Mini" Mod separately???

Thank you blivey worked a treat, now sat at a very happy 20w which seems to work perfectly with the 1.5ohm coil for me but a word of caution for people setting out with this, go low with the nicotine. I have a 6mg davidoff juice from joyetech. I won't be buying it again, although it tasted sweet through an e roll you can taste a whole different flavour through this which I don't really like. Good excuse to spend more money I guess but the head rush every ten minutes is getting a little wearing lol. I was a little unimpressed this afternoon until your advice. Now I am blown away.I would start low and work your way up if you are getting a burnt taste. Maybe start around 25w and go up by 1w at a time to dial it in.
Having just seen this and tried it you are also spot on and no head rush now definitely need a lower nic levelI'm glad you're enjoying your new Subox @james28. Over priming isn't a real problem unless it starts leaking out of the bottom of the tank. Getting burnt taste means there is not enough juice to burn, which usually means the wattage is too high. For people new to the Subox, I always recommend starting at 10W-12W. Then gradually go up a watt at a time until you get the right about of vapor, flavor and temperature. I like a cooler vapor, so I vape between 15W-20W depending on the type of juice. Others prefer 25W and higher. It's a personal preference. If you ever get a slight burnt taste turn down the watts. If you get a really bad burnt taste, it likely will not go away as the cotton has been burned and you'll need to replace the coil. Lastly, if the crackling sound is really loud and remains so, you're getting too much juice to the coil and will need to turn up the watts to help burn it off. As you turn it up, the crackling sound should be quieter, and it's normal to hear some crackling sound when it's working correctly.

Found something better for you.Just jumped into this thread about 10 pages ago. Saw all the posts about the ejuice flavors "they" have.
What is the site yunz are talking about???
You got the spring pin version?Still rockin the socks off this box!!
Adjustable pin, hah!
Twisted....all the way. I have a 2 strand 26g on the rba plus and a 3 strand 28g on the original. Both clocking at around .5 ohms with 5 wraps around a 2.5mm screwdriver.![]()
Got to finish my subox setup. I'll try to build my RBA after the prebuilt coil goes bad.
What coil setup is best for flavor on the RBA?
No, I was laughing in its' general direction. I don't need no stinking " floating " pin. The box works great with its' intended tank. You got the spring pin version?
That green setup is the business, good job!![]()

Agreed. I had a little issue with one RDA. Pin got depressed a little. I took it apart and pushed the pin back up. No more issues. Not even with the offending RDA.No, I was laughing in its' general direction. I don't need no stinking " floating " pin. The box works great with its' intended tank.

They are both comparable in terms of flavor. The Subox comes with the RBA plus which has the juice holes on the side. I think once you try the twisted you will keep a length on hand. I usually keep about 2 ft of each twisted on the original gauges spool.Cool! I'll try that. I haven't tried doing twisted coils yet just normal wraps but if I got the time this weekend. I'll give it a shot. What kind of RBA does the subox have? 2 strands of 26 or 3 strands of 28 you prefer?
