What did you do to make the buttons black? Or is that a cover?Yeah they don't get much better looking than the subox. Especially with a little customization....

Wow... Stealthy... NiceThat's a silicon sleeve but they are black underneath. I took it apart and spray painted them. @ephilbe switched the buttons on his white and black so he has red buttons on the white and black buttons on the black. Then I bought the black glass and drip tip on fasttech. Here is mine without the sleeve....

What ohms coil are you using? .5 should be okay 25 to 30 watts, but 1.2 or 1.5 you need to lower to under 20, 15 watts is usually good for the 1.2 Also what percentage VG? I find 50/50 wicks pretty good but when I mix at 60/40 it takes longer to feed the wick. Make sure your coil is primed good and let it sit a little longer between vapes. Otherwise thin your VG juice down a tad with either PG or distilled water. I sometimes add just about 2-4 drops of Everclear or 100 proof vodka to my higher VG juices. Shaken not stirred and vape on.What kind of wattage are you guys rocking the stock heads at?? I tend to experience dry hits higher than 30 watts.

You can get a silicon sleeve from Sweet Vapes for like 5 bucks to protect it.I just ordered one in white. I needed a stealthy pocket vape for work. My other mods are a little large for everyday carry. I really like the white but now thinking I should of gotten black as I'm a florist and I sometimes get yellow stains on my hands from lily pollen and it stains whatever I touch. Think I will just add a nice colorful wrap if that happens.

OP asked about the stock occ coils. RBA wicking will be different as you can use different materials and more or less wicking. I haven't built on the subtank RBA section yet, but this is good to know as the stock 1.2 OCC coils can be vaped up to 25 but the wicking isn't great and they can get fried. This isn't necessarily true. I'm currently vaping a 1.2 ohm build at 23w, and have had ZERO dry hits, and using 60+ vg juice. However this is using the RBA (I've never used a pre-built coil in my subtank).

Lol, been there! The battery life on the iStick was great but I had a problem with the trigger out of the box. Then throw a little buyers remorse in there after seeing the subox mini. Drool.
Mine are super scratched too... the mod isn't too bad but the tank looks awfulI'd post my mods, but unfortunately they're scratches and rubbed off paint.
Little monster turned itself up to 50/watts in my pocket today, first hit was a whole lotta burnt. I generally vape at 22-27.5 watts, so 50/was snap, crackle, "oh gawd that's burnt.....". I'm thinking about removing those two buttons.
I have a paint market but I'm hesitant to use it because it's just going to keep wearing away. I'm not disappointed at all, for 57.00 shipped this thing has far exceeded any expectations.Mine are super scratched too... the mod isn't too bad but the tank looks awfulI already tried to fix it with a sharpie but that rubbed off too
been wondering how I could clean it up.... anyone got ideas?
don't get me wrong, I LOVE MINE!!!I have a paint market but I'm hesitant to use it because it's just going to keep wearing away. I'm not disappointed at all, for 57.00 shipped this thing has far exceeded any expectations.
It gets used in a rough environment every day without fail since I bought it, wear is inevitable. Hell, you should see me at the end of the day.....
