My second Mini arrived with Dual Air holes in it.

I ended up putting a Wooden Toothpick in one of the Holes.

i can already answer that for you. my 2nd mini tank is the revised version with the dual sided air control. it really doesn't feel much different from the first mini and part of that is probably because there is now an inner cage/structure in the ACV. i guess its there to protect the base of the coil?
the slot itself is smaller than the original, but over all 2-3mm bigger if you combine both air holes vs the original

Not sure about the New OCC Heads. But the current ones are Not to hard to Rebuild.
