and to add to that, the weight feels wrong for aluminum
i wanna say it feels heavier than my IPV3

casted metal + plastic buttons = cheaper production = price win for us

It certainly looks well made from the insides. Mostly fasteners instead of glue. Very serviceable.

im not saying its super cheaply made pos LOL.... just stating that its looking like they went with the cheapest easiest to use/manufacture materials, but because of that they probably also did a better job with the inturnals, which is a good thing for us

it feels solid to me and i have no complaints with the build quality but from a production side of it, the more i look at it, and we talk about it, the more it makes sense to me as to why they used what they used

now casted pot metal does have its downsides, its softer and easy to mar, but so is aluminum
but its biggest flaw is, it will crack when put under heavy stress ie: dropping it, crushing it ect.

this type of metal is easy to cast and machine compared to other stuff so it makes it a cheap production option

Maybe this will be their 100w box *fingers crossed*
I see them knocking it out of the park lol. So long as there aren't quality control issues with the subox or subox nano, they should be rolling in money by the time they out out a subox plus... with a spring loaded 510.

Poor attitude. One of the reasons the thread took off the way it did was due to the fact that average, mainstream MTL hitters had been ignored by the market for so long. It's about time they were acknowledged and stopped cloud chasers / high wattages from dominating. Not everyone wants "more huge vapor" and that does not mean they are "beginners" or noobs that don't know any better. It's a choice.

Woah Bro, Bang'in some High Watts and making it rain in your living room is where it's at. I mean Are you even vape'in Bro ?? Ah, yeah. I might be a Tootle Puffer sometimes, other times I do crank it up a bit, but I respect it all. How all this turned into a Sport I don't know, all I know is "I DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE". Thats all that should be the end result, I think anyways. I'm Gone, and you are right aikanae1.

Well, I for one, am just glad when anyone vapes. That is what matters. And to change the subject, I am waiting to order the Subox kit until I have vape funds available, but I did get a killer deal on ebay. Someone listed 2 separate "vape drippers" and I got both for less than $10. Good deal?

Well, ladies and gents... I went ahead and took one for the team, as it were. There was a second screw at the other end of the batt compartment. (under the void warranty k sticker) Hope for my sake the electronics are robust in this li'l pup.

Besides all that, it comes apart really easily. Soon as I steal the buttons out of a white one, it will be totally murdered out. Housing looks like pot metal to me, btw.

Also liking the prospects of installing a spring loaded 510. Maybe I'll start a custom shop. Lol

Thank you for daring to break it apart. I will be mixing and matching my white and black pieces for sure now.

My apologies if that came out wrong. I am in total agreement with you regarding the price win aspect.

Good Design ALWAYS places Functionality over Price.

What good is Making a Mod 4 Dollars Cheaper if it Breaks when dropped on a Hard Surface? Or saving 3 Bucks on an RTA by making it out of Steel that will form Iron Oxides?

But Once Functionality is Achieved, adding something like More Strength, when you Add More Cost, is Not a Good Design.

Nothing wrong with making things out of Cast Parts. And it is a Very Cost Efficient way to make Near Finished Parts that require Little (or Sometimes no) machining.

Cast Parts many times get a Bad Name not because they are Cast, but because an Inferior Material is used in the Casting.

How are you guys wicking the RBA? I've done loads of different ways and it does vape nice at 30w (default installed coil @ 0.5ohms) but it does seem that it's not wicking to its fully capacity as the vapor isn't as "wet" as one of the premade heads.

A+ question, how bout some pics peeps?

I still haven't dug into the RBA yet. I will post pics once I do but I have always had wicking issues with the subtank RBA's even after drilling them out so I may not be a good source on this one.
This is a totally different animal with the new rba though, right? Maybe you'll have better luck with the juice holes vs. juice channels.
