Does the new rba have bigger juice holes? I always get dry hits when I try to use the rba on my STM. Thanks
The new subtank mini plus rba has juice holes. The old one has juice channels. Fwiw, I never have dry hits with the old one at 30w if I wick it heavy enough.

I never had any problems with the old one either. However, I do like the new one because it's easier/quicker to wick.

The 'Burgh, PA.
Cigabuy has just listed the new KBox mini mods as separate items for preorder, so they should be available at plenty of other vendors soon hopefully.

The preorder prices of the mods without the subtank mini is $29.99.

$29.99 - Kanger Kbox Mini 50W 7~50W White Variable Wattage Box Mod APV - Cigabuy

$29.99 - Kanger Kbox Mini 50W 7~50W Black Variable Wattage Box Mod APV - Cigabuy

The Subox Mini box mod is only $27.59 plus shipping when you use coupon code “KBOXMINI8

I've never shopped at Cigabuy, but after a quick Google on reviews, it looks like it's not very consistent among customers. I buy from trusted companies that have never let me down, like My Vapor Store or Sweet Vapes. Both of these companies have excellent customer service and competitive prices. For me, saving a couple of bucks is just not worth the problems, if something goes wrong. YMMV

Ordered mine on Monday from Kanger SUBOX Mini Starter Kit @ Mt Baker Vapor
free 15ml bottle of juice included, 10% off for code "ecf", free shipping over $50 (Priority this time)
Hawk Sauce or Banana hold up real well to 40W+
They also have OCC coils for a decent price w/discount (but they're OOS right now).

Got it today.
I've been using an Arctic tank on my SX mini M for a week, Subtank minis w/OCC before that.
The redesigned .5 OCC coil actually delivers good vapor and pretty good flavor up to 50W.
Excellent flavor with 60VG between 30W-40W
I haven't tried it at 60 powerful on the SXM yet.

Feels good/looks good/works good

I'll consider it $24 well spent if I get a few months use on the mod before the buttons go.
Use 20A continuous batteries and have fun.
Good going KangerTech :thumb:

Sooooo, I love my black subox. Unfortunately, both stock verticle coils were crap and I haven't experienced the joy most of you all speak of using the new verticle coils :( I tried the installed one right away and didn't get the flavor you guys all raved about. I stuck it out for almost 2 tanks hoping it just needed to be broken in. When I pulled out the other stock coil I could see right away it wasn't intact. The bottom pin was loose and when I pushed on it, trying to push it in place the insides of it all moved. There's loose metal inside. I'm not sure how to explain it. I've used enough coils of all types to know it just isn't right. My coils slipped through quality control. Bummed! So, I wicked the new rba abd all was well. Super easy to wick. Easier than the original, in my opinion. Yesterday I shot an email to myvaporstore, where I got my kit from. I told them I didn't want to go through the return process (don't wanna give up my new mod, it works perfectly) over two coils but thought they would want to know about it. Today I got an email from them saying my order shipped. I am not sure yet what it is they are sending but it seems they want to make it right in one way or another. I'm very impressed... I highly recommend myvaporstore.com

What is the width of the subox? I'm kinda of confused because it says on its specs that it is 20 to 25mm. Does it change sizes or something? I was in a cig shop earlier today looking at tobacco for cold macerations and noticed they had a subox on display. So being curious and also interested in purchasing one in the near future, I ask the clerk if I could see it. It's kinda small...I mean really small...I wasn't expecting that. I'm keeping in mind that this is a cig shop and this might be a knock off. So I whip out my ipv mini2...pop my Lemo off and slap it onto the subox and low and behold it overhangs the side by at least a mm. I thought to my self...wow this changes my mind on purchasing one if my Lemo won't fit flush. It was kind of ginky too. Can anyone confirm up to what size tank it can accommodate or if you have a Lemo does it fit? Just wondering if this was a knock off. Thanks

Exactly what I would expect from MVS. Always had very good service from them.

As far as the coils - does anyone know if Kanger will continue with the old OCCs with the horizontal coil? I'm worried they they will be replaced by the vertical coil version, which I want no part of, at least if it performs as poorly the Atlantis - which I do not like at all. Seems like the Atlantis coils were far less efficient than the Kanger coils and required a lot more wattage to get the same vape as the Kanger. Hopefully Kanger will continue to offer both styles. If not I will have at least 7 Kanger Subtanks for sale. (I am not offering them here or now.)

The subtank mini (the tank on the subox) should be 22mm, same as the lemo 2. Who knows what mod that was (clone? I'd be surprised) but it wasn't the subox mini. I can't vouch for how the lemo looks on the subox, just going off measurements.

22mm - Subtank mini, Arctic tank & Nautilus all sit flush to the sides/end

I started out with the RBA and then tried the 0.5ohm stock coil. I had a similar experience as you did. Pretty good vapor, but the flavor was off. I'm on my 3rd day and it's starting to get a little better. The old horizontal stock coils didn't effect the flavor as much. Like you, maybe I got a bad coil. And I couldn't agree more about myvaporstore. I've had a couple of minor problems with the old RBA. Send some email, got an immediate reply apologizing for the inconvenience, then ~hour later got shipping notice for a replacement RBA. They are great to do business with.

Sorry to hear you may have got duds too. Did you order from MVS too? It would be interesting to know especially if we both got duds.
I was so bummed when I loaded the tank up and the flavor just wasn't there. I know for me, the flavor was better on my original horizontal stock coils. And after reading how everyone said they were an improvement, I got a bit discouraged. I used the rba most often but I love the option of a quality stock coil for those day I don't want to fiddle or I am just not cutting it at wicking just right... lol, I'm still pretty green as far as building my own coils and the occ vapes pretty darn well, I don't feel like I'm loosing out a whole bunch when I retreat to the stock coils....

Yes, I ordered from MVS as well. I'm a flavor whor^h^h^h^h chaser so I went right to the RBA, then hoping that the new vertical coils would be a step up from the old horizontal ones. It's a little disappointing, but the new RBA makes up for it. I'm hoping that the stock coils will improve over time, at least to the level that I've got a reasonable backup to vape while I'm rebuilding the RBA. :thumb:
