Wow. It's slowed down in here. I spent too much time reading about temperature control (I haven't been paying attention to it). Still seems gimmicky to me or not quite ready for prime time. There's a couple mods coming that will read all sorts of wire. One of them just allows a user to adjust after a vape to their "best taste". The Innokin one sounds like it allows kanathal in addition to nickle. Not exactlly all wires and it requires special atty's in addition to wires. The joyetech one is propietary and no one knows for sure yet - well, maybe since I didn't check that thread.
The lack of temperature control feature on the Subox was a serious criticism. Really? IMO, I'd just like manufacturers to work on delivering a 50w device that was safe to charge and didn't autofire first. How about that?
It appears that the main push for temperature control is an attempt to deliver a standardized vape and satisfy FDA concerns about open systems. Basically what temps are ingredients safe to vaporize at. Right now, everything is vaped at all sorts of temperatures and there's no way to monitor any kind of a feedback system. Temp. control is a way to say this is safe at this temp. and that is safe at that temp. Basically, ordering tc now is taking a hit for science and the community as they figure it out. But then I wasn't impressed with HD either. Wait a week and I could change my mind.

In other news, Vapor Shark clones and Flask clones have disapeared due to a design patent by Vapor Shark. I'm not looking forward to patent wars.
